Satwinder ... in my opinion, this should not be a debate ... it must be a Q&A .. bu the way ....Both are different role model...B Analyst means generating a feedback based on data and views ... whereas B Architect means giving the shape to business based on analysis or requirement ...

Yes, both are different. A Business Analyst analysis the businesses and as he matures e became Business Architect!

I'm not a management Guru,,but I feel & as far as I have understanding about this,,an analyst can have a piecemeal approach & solutions with different aspects , positioning & functioning of a business. The data plays a vital role here.

Whereas an architect works at strategic level with an overall holistic approach, insinuating newer concepts, methods, modes etc. Vision is more important here, I feel.

It can be said that the architect plays a more vital role over the analyst.
