Investments in stocks is an Insurance by basic definition of contingent claim investment, insurance against loss in value of currency, insurence against contingent claims etc;. Behavioral finance theories of Khanemann and Trvesky of relational expectations go counter to Von-Nuemann-Morgenstien's rational expectations model. The latter depend on utility of the investor where as the former depends on relative factors of the environment. Efficient market hypothesis explains that the price of a stock reflects all the information available on the stock at that point in time.

Mam : Urvish : Practically there are dedicated sites to discuss Stocks and its market. Even there, one may not reveal his/her technique of "investing" in details. As I told U : gaining / loosing here are routine. One may even change strategies say daily or weekly or monthly. We'll be glad and proud if U could learn here about the market. But, postings in 'debate' form has some problem too. However, when U have interest, U may read some renowned books and some journals too. Another point : in my thought, if personally U dont invest in this market, U may not get the real feelings, joy or sorrow - rather say, ur knowledge may not be time-tested. Last : keep investing - remain invested. Warning : this is a high risk market.

@Asoke Sir....I totaly agree with you that I am a fresher but I may never invest in stock market without my personal Analysis over the Brokers analysis....Like @Vipin Sir told I agree to have made mistake in specifing the options It should have been "Self Analysis"So can we consider "Drivers" as unfair trading brokers who tend to spread rumours like one of ICICI bank If i am not worng. The bottom line I Want to convey is that there is a lack of "Educated investor" coz of which there lies Inefficiencies(Under or over Valuations of stocks) and hence we can say that there are less number of Arbitragers in the Indian Stock Markets... @Rashmi Ma'm....I would agree to what you said but the thing is a very less amt or say an Insignificant amt of investors know abt the analysis you conveyed... Please correct me If I am wrong any were it may be because of My lack of knowledge of market or news.It is just I am here to learn so please Co-operate.

In India(Our country) I believe household or small scale investor work or invest more on the basis of tips and hence lose out alot of HARD earned money... Also young people like me who have got a less knowledge about how the market reacts tend to do the same thing. Why cant we be more precise if we want to invest a hard earned money into market meaning there are more efficient ways to invest in a company. This will help out to work markets to be more efficient i.e. market will not react to rumours and will react to the publicly available information. This will save a lot of losses caused in-relation to investment on the basis of "TIPS" by the brokers. I do not mean that brokers give incorrect information but at times they tend to take an undue advantage of the lack of knowledge of the investors.

Rashmi your argument is right but you are not saying for tips whereas you are talking about analysis. It is a part of analysis which you have written although made by investors or by any broking house. Let say example for all experienced supporting TIPS if your broker told you that i will provide you TIPS but you wont get any profit then please tell me How many investors goes for trading? NO ONE But the actual position is that broking house always saying to retail investor that "INVEST YOUR MONEY, WE(our co.) HAVE GREAT ANALYST SO THAT WE WILL PROVIDE YOU TIPS & YOU GET HIGH RETURN OF YOUR INVESTMENT" tell me if i am wrong. And i supporting again the side that any investor go for higher return or profit not for any other thing. In Short, TIPS are the part of ANALYSIS.......

Urvish i got your point. you are right but you mentioned here ANALYSIS rather than SELF ANALYSIS. Because broker provide TIPS on the basis of his ANALYSIS. But still answer same that Expectation of high return turn investors to invest in market although they believe blindly or not. And please don't invest in market blindly without any study as per my view.... Go for SIP etc...
