I dont see that budget would be bringing in any surprises this time. With finance minister all set to draw most of the stimulus given in the last one year, GST being further delayed, may adversly impact the Indian stock markets. I invite your views regarding this budget and  what you think that could be a positive trigger for our economic growth in this year budget.

Thanks for creating a debate on Budget 2010. It would interesting if you reframe your question as debate relating such as "Will Budget 2010-2011 see a positive trigger for our economic growth?".

In my opinion, this budget is going to be very critical. That is because there are several important issues, which the budget is expected to address whether it is in terms of fiscal deficit because we have been talking about fiscal consolidation and clearly this budget would hopefully put a road-map to that. There has also been a lot of talk in terms of funds being raised through disinvestment or channelising subsidies appropriately and of course we may keep arguing that the budget may not be the right platform but nevertheless it looks like that this budget should hopefully address a lot of these issues. In other words, I can say we may see nothing much other than usual things.
