“Difficult is to see Light in darkness – We often forget to do or does not want to”. When a person faces some problem, we give advice or direction how to tackle it. But once we get into some issue we don’t know what to do or else we fail to take a presice decision. It’s easy for us to show light (advice) others, than to dig into our own problems. So it’s said that it’s difficult to to be optimistic and see light in darkness. Mr. Raghu! This is a topic well raised, and we really need to think over it. And start seeing light in darkness to be successful. Regards

1) Seeing light in darkness = Looking for alternative energy sources 2) Seeing darkness in light = Realizing global warming effects 3) One without another = A complacent world (people) 4) One (1/2) and another (1/2) = Surviving world (people). 5) Reality is 3 and 4 with changing weights.

Hi Raghu:
Although, it is generally easy to see darkness in the midst of light, especially for the people who are blind, which may apply for the majority of people ... I will go for easiness in seeing light in the darkness as we all know and experience how easy it is to see even a small ray of light in darkness when our eyes are open and we are aware ...
As per Buddha there are 4 types of people :::) One (1) who are going/moving from light to light meaning they are presently in happy position/situation with all success/prosperity externally in outer world and no problems and even if there are small problems they are healthy, positive & wise internally meaning with awareness, they can solve it seeing light in the momentary-temporary darkness and move ahead towards the light, knowing that it will pass away ... and that they don't need to react; Second (2) who are going from light to darkness meaning they are same as above presently but they are not aware, wise internally and so they react with small problems/difficulties and instead of seeing light in the darkness, see the darkness in the light and cannot solve temporary-momentary problems and ultimately move towards darkness because of their own ignorance; Third (3) type are going from darkness to light meaning presently they are immersed in all types of problems externally in outer world with no success, prosperity etc. but they are like first type of people - wise & aware internally seeing light in the present darkness, knowing that it will pass away and with wisdom they solve it without reacting and eventually moving towards brightness or light and Fourth (4) and last type of people are going from darkness to darkness meaning who are presently in all darkness & problems externally in the outer world with no success/prosperity etc. but are also not aware & wise internally like second type and always see darkness in the light reacting all the time and eventually cannot take responsibility and solve the problems and move towards darkness only and this type is most unfortunate ...
Let us not be of fourth type ... It is our prerogative to be aware & wise and see the light in the darkness by removing our blindness & opening our inner eyes and light by understanding and experiential wisdom and then we can move towards brightness and light and remain rooted in the Light ...
So it all depends on the individual, although because of blindness and lack of awareness/wisdom it may seem that seeing darkness in light is easy and vice versa is difficult but with wisdom and inner eyes seeing light in the darkness will become easy ... !

Seeing light in darkeness - sense of positive thinking. Nothing in the world is like "Non Achievable". Only aspect required to achieve any hight is proper thinking with proper sequential approach with right planning. Any working atmosphere or even ones life is full of hurdles. It does not mean that no one is working or surviving. It is upto the candidates aptitude & effort how he steers thru all.

Dear Mr. Raghu, It is not a question of "Easy" or "difficult" here. We should rather ask, is it "RIGHT APPROACH" to look for light in......... Everybody in this world seeks light. Light is a symbol of knowledge, truth and happiness derived by virtue of it. Naturally, we should look for what we seek. We should look for light..

This question seems spiritual in nature and reflects on our very existance. It is obvious, that for most of us, a glimmer of faintest light is easily noticable in darkness. But only for those, who are enlightened by the light from above, is darkness visible. For, eventually, we all are going to walk past that mysterious veil of darkness, which even the eye of human reason cannot penetrate. Therefore, we should perform our allotted tasks, while it is yet day and continue to listen to the voice of nature, which bears witness that even in this perishable frame resides a vital and immortal principle, which inspires a holy confidence and enables us to lead a full and fruitfull life.

One should always try to look for the positives in a negative situation. If we are able to distance our emotions from the issue, we will be able to deal with it and understand it relatively easily. Like the hot coal, from afar, it can be observed and understood.

We are not the 4th type or any other types of people here. We are all normal people who believe in being careful and not overly enthusiastic. In fact we are all blind when it comes to a lot of things arent we? Also to let Mr. Bagla know that we are not the 4th type or any other type of people who have special senses or are developing any, its just that we believe in being cautious and thorough and hence we do not get excited by seeing a rainbow and imagining a pot of gold at the end of it! We are people who caution such people that nobody till date has seen the ORIGIN of a rainbow much less a POT OF GOLD! Thank you all, I think this has been a great debate for me!

Let me put it simply! While working on any project, once your basic research is complete in terms of infrastructure, availability, labor, costs, funding etc, on the basis of positive findings, do you immediately lay the foundation stone? I am sure that all of you would like to weigh your Pros & Cons completely. You will want to ascertain whether the investments are totally justified or not. You will want to look at how 'successful' the project truly is!! This is where you need a Devils Advocate who would then punch a lot of holes in your theory! You hate that person to the extent of saying that he is the one guy who has absolutely no vision. But believe me you. all of us secretly like that person because this person has given you the vision of darkness and has challenged your intellect to validate the findings! That gentlemen is the darkness in light! It is quite necessary, I am sure you will agree! Thank you.

There can be various aspects to consider this topic and each aspect will give vivid views. As you concern the question for problem solving, then may I add that seeing darkness in light is always beneficial in long term success plans.Light is just a hope or an opportunity to start up with. But as you go forward you need to know things which may pull you down. A little analysis of the situation and current status will always give the approximate idea of the darkness. Correcting, preventing and finding a better path is the next step. So it is most of the times easy and always beneficial to find the holes of darkness then be blinded by the light .....

Mr. Kastury, Thanks for a prompt response! I see this from a blind mans perspective! Its eternal darkness there. A ray of hope is when he is told that he may be able to see if the damage is repairable! I really feel that when you set out in the world with your first step in a corporate, its always a blind alley. You know what you are doing but never know where you are headed! Unless success blesses you early you will be groping constantly. Its darkness out there till such time! I look at darkness, not being devoid of light, but with nothing ahead! So what I really meant was that unless you do not get obsessed with a problem you will never be able to see a solution to it! And yes for me motivation comes from the darkest of corners where there is nothing to see. It fills me with a courage that tells me to seek and seek deeper and that really gets me going! Thanks a lot once again!

I have never come across an absolutely beautiful example of an antithesis! WOW! Mr. Kastury, its not easy to really understand what you actually mean because you have said so many things in that one statement! You are talking about twins! One who looks at everything with a positive spirit and the other who looks at all those things with a negative spirit! Its always easy to enter darkness. But when you knowingly enter the darkness, you have the light of HOPE that you will exit it too. In situations of extreme difficulty you will end up positive if you deliberate the fact that this will blow over. But in the same situation if you sow the seed of a doubt in your mind, you will always find a problem and never be PART OF A SOLUTION! I have been equally cryptic in my comment! I hope you understand the reason why. Amazing fact Sir!

I think we develop the projects for do something positive, I mean the project is light and now the darkness in the project (unsecured parts), for example if your Java EE doesn't have any filter for authorizing, users just focus on that "we can hack this site with a funny session game", well now we found a darkness in the project, but it may not interest that I developed login operation with Ajax technology but it doesn't matter with unsecured application, some very small darkness can destroy lights (I think), your project whatever is cool and, but every body focus on darkness in it
