It has been quite a debatable topic for us freshers ever since we joined college and I sure hope that some of you out there did have this question in mind at your time too.Well some of them say that a student should be absolutely thorough in atleast one subject and be skilled in it, while people like me think that it is not possible with the limited time and without experience and it is just enough if one has an inclination towards their field of choice.Looking forward for some interesting insights to help me clarify my thoughts.

It depends on the intelligence and capability of the student too.If the student is really ambitious and hard working I dont feel that he will be satisfied with bookish knowledge only.On the other hand if corporate houses give chance to such ambitious students ,this will make benefit to both the company as well as the student too.Just try you will sure succeed.Corporate houses will also be benefited as they can get more work in less charges(as they are fresher they will be paid less too)

I think that learning is a process and it may not be quite possible to learn everything in just 4 or 5 years.Even if there are 'A' class lab facilities or practical facilities nothing can probably reach a real world situation. Most of the time we are lectured on how to get a command over a subject that is compiled by some authors in certain books(scenario in Andhra Pradesh) but I am still in doubt whether this will actually help me when I am in a critical situation.I think that the years we spend in college are not only to get a great hold on some subject but also to get an insight of the working of the professional world outside and develop one's own unique way of dealing with this world.
