What is included in your concept of "technology"?

Sociotechnical analysis creates much better solutions, because the user is seen as part of the solution, not as an irritating inconvenient part of showing the superiority of the new hardware and software. Sociotecnical analysys is user-driven innovation. Most technoglies fail because they are developed without reall knowledge about the work of the user.

Real success in implementation usually requires an new way of organizing the work, which usually include a big upgrade in the knowledge of the user. So implementation becomes hard because of the way we create new technology.

Text messages is a big success for telephone companies. The facility was made to accommodate a law, which requires telephones to usable by deaf people. So the engineer had to include it. Now we all have learned to communicate like deaf people, without disturbing everyone around us by speaking. And we can read the messages when we have the time.
