Hi Santosh and Manish Both of you are ambigous about the answer. Mr. Srirang they are actuallyy trying to say what is better for personal brading and awareness. Branding and awareness are two different aspects. Proper networking through any medium can help in branding. Be it socio-net or professional nets. But awareness is totally different .. you won't find many things which you find in professional forum on socio-nets. So Branding can be done in both the ways and specific knowledge can be obatined form professional nets..

Hi Greeting all what I think that Social networking is more effective as on professional there only professional would be one who'll intract but on social networking site from a boy aged 12 till a person aged 70+ also there. and as we know that there are many people involve in purchasing of a product like one who has the need, one who Influence, one who purchase etc. etc. and they all might not be professional but ya they might use social networking site. Hence we can say that Social networking site is more effective networking for Branding or Creating awareness

I feel that networking itself is a brand and the extent of awareness created is all that matters,in orther word,wether proffesional or social,it is determined by the way we want to go.

WHAT a waste, Networking is networking, if u r a networker, u can get success or not. u cant make big diff in prof/social, although it depneds on your product as well, if u r having a B2B prd/service than u need to do prof more but if its b2c than than nothing beats social and everything comes under it.

According to me, Professional Networking is for branding in corporate world, where one can discuss the issues related to the work whereas social networking is for say more for creating awareness rather than branding in the society,where one can share their views freely with their friends.

Actually your question is confusing as it is trying to address too many questions. In any case i feel social networking is important for branding as well as creating awareness because in a professional network like toostep or linkedin members might not welcome promotional messages on your brand.

Depends on product. For awareness social network is better. As professional network will consist of similer profile individuals.
