presently we can not depend on the any of the drive of computer for secure our data for long time b'coz either C:\ or D:\ or any other Local disk can be corrupted at any time so we have to search some another place in the computer only where we can safely keep our data for long time

and even after the damaged of our hard disk then also our data can be safe in another place on the computers

how can we depend on any externals disk or any CD . External Disk or System Hard Disk are the same no difference between any one of them. At any time any one can be corrupted we have to find some new place to save and update our daily usage data on a particular palce in the system only. So we have to find a place in the system only which can not be depend on any system software or application software or not even on any Operating System

Its not safe to keep confidential data and important data in the hard disk as there is risk of its crashing or data loss.  So its preferable to keep 2-3 backups of the datas in external storage devices or CDs.
