Experience shows how to use books knowledge skilfully and to the advantage of oneself. Simply book knowledge makes a person haughty and practically egoist. An ignorant person who has just book knowledge often commits mistake of using his knowledge.Experience enables him to avoid mistakes and best use the knowledge Miocrosolar

Bookish knowledge is like a "Low Hanging Fruit" which any one who can afford by direct or dubious means attain it, whereas experience is like a tender coconut (drawing ground water sitting on top) quenches one's thirst when in need without discrimination!

suchi, bookish knowledge is like a raw matreial and experience is a finished goods. So both are copmlementary to each other. It is nature of human being to forget the raw material and loves the finished products.

It has to be experience. Because even in the case of books, the best of them are written by those with experience. When you read books you rely on other people's experiences but you need to experience things on your own too.

Having Knowledge just let you eligibe, to do certain task............

But , even at that stage you cant accomplish a task without having hands on Experience.

So experience has an upper edge over Bookish Knowledge.

Knowledge thru Experience is more acceptable as it is where the practicality of life comes in..!

Bookish Knowledge is only to get a Degree or knowledge against a particular domain..! Real Life teaches us far more better.

That is the reason why all writers writing books wrote their experiences!!

ThanQ Suchijee for the reference. I feel that both the knowledge and the experience are not contenders. They need not be one against the other. Both knowledge(including bookish) and experience should be complementary to each other. Then only the work/job shall be BRIGHTER.

According to my views, today's books are tangible and also intangible i.e. Audio books, Videos, e-books, Info on Internet also comes in category of books now a days. An IT, Telecom professional can not work without the knowledge available on the internet. Now a days, an experience (real knowledge) is quoted in such books available on internet. In any field this is required.

Theories provide you the basic for working on the job. without the theories you are a child watching the great ocean from the shore. you cannot go in. The theoretical knowledge provides you a platform to build upon. Further, you can have many ideas and innovations while understanding the theory. The theories need to be applied in practice for better results.
