I feel passion comes into play first as that's the element which initiates one to take up a specific job. Challenges come later in due course. Hence I feel it's the 'passion' factor that scores.

Naturally its passion which is the motivation factor . Like Tendulkar passion for Team India makes him perform better than for the rocord books . Passion is an emotional attachment while Challenges are ego fulfillment . Achivements through Challenges are ur testimonals for future reference while Passion is a natural outcome .

Challenges=interest=research=solution=analyze=convey=customer/managers positive feedback=motivation. Very simple. challenges drive us to make things happen and intern motivation will follow that, again next best thing, and so on..

You need a challenge at work in order to overstretch beyond the normal stated goals. This is accenuated if you have an excellent team, and support but with a slight disbelief in management about you being able to achieve the goals. Your passion then is flowing to your mentorees as=nd excellent results are achieved.

Challenges motivate me at work.Doing the work which we like is passion. You are master in your work and hence it has become your passion. But challenges are those what you havenot faced yet. You have to face now. You don't know how to come for the solution for perticular challenging work. You start on your own and put your maximum to resolve that. And that's the happiness you receive in the results. And that is what which motivates me.
