It should be accepted that Srilankan Tamil's desire and aspirations to live in with dignity and respectful. They have a right to ask for a political solution to address their political problems.

LTTE is a terrorist organization. It has conducted innumerable crimes, resorted to killings of innocents, used children as human shield, brainwashed kids to become suicide bombers, raped pillaged and murdered ordinary people thereby justifiable qualifying as a terrorist organization. It has been deplored and condemned the actions of LTTE. No doubt it is terrorist organization.

Now LTTE is defeated, its leaders killed, its forces decimated. Srilanka has an immense responsibility. It should create an environment where Tamils regain their identity, their pride, and their culture. Srilanka should allow Tamil as an official language and ensure they are not discriminated against. India should strive to work with the Srilankan government to create a political platform for Tamils living in Srilanka which is India's neighbor country. Any problem there will affect us also. India has to take a very vise decision to resolve the vexed issues.

Yes Nattreraja I agree with you. The Indian govt should deal the matter and if Tamil is being made an official language most of the problems will be solved.

Indian Govt should initiate discussion or say suggest the same to the Lankan govt.

Dear sir, Kashmir issues can not be equated with Srilankan issues. However both are a headache for India. All issues should be nipped in the bud, otherwise it is not good for India which we have experiencing for a long time. Keeping mum will never going to help India. The Srilankan problems paves the way for the entry of China and some other countries into Srilanka. This is not good shine for India in the long run.

A political solution has to be worked out by the Indian government in association with the Sri Lankan government for the political problem that has been present in Sri Lanka and on account of which many people had left Sri Lanka and shifted to other countries.

A resolution of the issue will ensure that future problems are avoided.......

Tamils have every rights to live peacefully,with dignity.GOI must ensure their quick rehabilitation .Sri Lankan Government has an abundant duty to instill confidence in the masses to accept the Tamils as their brethren.

They should be protected, they are also human beings like us. Everyone has the right to stay anywhere in India if he is a citizen of India. There is no use differentiating them....

Srilankan problem is the brain child of wrong  self proclaimed Tamil leader(s)for selfish interests.the country has lost lakhs of human lives, crores of rupees, and was never able to think on productive lines at all.Whole focus was in minimising the damages.India has spent enough time money and energy in helping people of Srilanka.On humanitarian grounds yes India can help them but there is nothing binding on us to help.Now that the Srilankan govt has no barrier it can plan and reconstruct the nation.

SriLankan tamils are the internal problem of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is an independent country. Such problems has to be answered by them. India can only give assistance and guidance as and when called for. India has enough internal issues to be answered. First let us set our house in order then worry about others.

as it is India has got enough problems from its neighbours, why India should make one more enemy.  It is the internal problem of Sri Lanka, let that country address the problem as best as it can.  Does India accept any mediation by any of the third countries in solving the Kashmir definitely no.
