The  company where you can learn and earn is the best. a company where you earn but do not learn is waste and probably non-existent and a company where you earn less but learn more is the path which takes you to the place where you can earn and learn too...

A good company would be one that builds its employees, not just use them for a service but takes an interest in equipping them with further skills and development. A good company would see the benefits of investing in their employees skills and using that to its full potential. it would keep employee morale and motivation up and increase quality of production from employees.

Learning makes the job interesting and earning makes it worth staying. Any organization that work with us to maintain a healthy work-life balance is a good one. But again, staying in the comfort zone will never make us stay fit to deal with uncertainty. So one must contribute for the sake of company's benefits, build a reputation, inspire new comers and leave in peace along with the earnings.

I think, the two sides of arguments are very clear-Good company is one that offers good growth and learning opportunities and is always considered better than that of a company offers huge salary but no learning, creative, growth opportunities.

In various surveys conducted across the globe in varied industry segments, the prime slot marked by employees that can make them stay in a company and make them feel contended is Job satisfaction. This desire is fulfilled by the fire of learning and opportunities for development.Money is a secondary aspect in this knowledge driven economy. Thus it is abundantly clear that a good company is one which promotes a learning culture and not one which pays high salaries.

Learning and Money both are equally important for me. Though a good company means a lot more than that. A company where i can see my career growth over a period of time, which is transparent, vision and employee friendly, good organisational structure, system and hierarchy apart from the learning and money would be a good company for me.

A good organization is one which is independent in its decision making, one where employees enjoy their work and one whose employees are protected from all forms of bullying.

I am surprised by the votes being gained by the other side. Dont they want a good package. I feel it is nothing but hypocrisy. I go by both.

Initially at the the career starting phase, these kind of companies which give less and provide good learning will be useful. Learning arises by self interest At the end of the day, its only MONEY for everyone. If one has the interest and inclination to know and learn, people do learn irrespective of the environment.

Yes, its the company which gives the maximum salary (actual + notional), and, here's the breakup: 1. The actual salary 2. The notational salary, which you can quantify, in terms of formal / on-job training and skill enhancement provided. 3. The notional salary, in terms of reinvestment, which increases your market value in terms of future job prospects.
