Yes. we have many examples. Because they are actors they pull crowd easily. They act life of a common man in films and know the pain of "aam admi" and can serve the society better than the Khandani corrupt Politician.

Actors turning politician is not a new trend in Southern States. Tamil Nadu had a successful matinee idol M.G. Ramachandran, was a successful people-centric politician Tamil Nadu had ever produced. Towing his line was Ms. Jayalalitha, very pragmatic and astute politician. Similarly, Andhra saw in N.T. Rama Rao a charismatic politician. Chiranjeevi could not appeal to the masses as was done by NTR. In TN, Vijaykanth, Sharath Kumar, and others could not gain popularity. Its a mix and match. In Hindi film industry, Govinda was a flop, so was Amitabh and others in politics. Rajini Kanth in TN has a great chance of becoming a great politician, but providence protects him from entering this political arena, and is contemplating eternal peace looking within, visiting Himalayas time and again to get enlightenment!

yes they make good politics. Each and every person can come into politics. Whether they are software engineers or film actor. The main aim of the individual who wants to come into politics should be to help the people and not to increase their properties. Whoever it may be, they should try to help the common public. In general it is better if new generation come into politics, as the creativity will be more. The new generation should enter into politics and with the new thoughts and taking the help of technology they should make policies that makes the common man benefited.

I don't feel if at all their is a progression b/w a good 'abhi-neta' turning into a good 'neta'.. it depends on individual but given quiet a number of instances from our society we need to admit that in most cases good "abhi-neta's" may not good "neta's".

I think NO.. It depends on the person to person. If the actor is good human being and understands the values of society then he can be good. But being good human is not enough to be a good politician. The thing which is more important is how that person deals with different issues.

Actors have always been aware about their impression on public, conscious about their own health and money since the start of their career, so they can't be good politicians.

Not necessarily. Good politics needs good intentions for the betterment of society and nation. Actors skill only cant make a good politician. Actor also can be a good politician if he has the right intention and required qualities

Politics is a symbol of the inability of human kind to self-organize and the ability to celebrate gluttony and greed. The drawback may lead to the extinction of our species with or without actors as politicians. Politics!? - unnecessary evil! How to get around the problem? Have no idea, but we definitely need something else then politics in its literal sense. To employ a different term would be quite something for the beginning.
