India is known as the giant or king of outsourcing in the entire world. We always bost that no other country is near to us in outsourcing. Our majority of income comes only through outsourcing since we are the highest number of skilled manpower holding country in the world.

But it seems, from past few years, this strengh of ours in decreasing since skilled manpower are increasing slowly in our neighbouring countries as well. So, the countries like USA are slowly taking interest in them which is declining Indian outsourcing market. Of them, the prominant one is China, who, in spite of having more population than us didn't have so many skilled labourers till date. But these days they are also becoming english speaking countries with good IT knowledge giving a stiff competition to In dian IT companies.

So, I would like to ask you people, according to you, where does the future outsourcing Market exists in future :India or China?

India has always been the King of outsourcing. China may be developing these days but it should not be forgotten that their rate of development in this field is still many years behind India and India's development speed is still continuing. I don't think its easy for China to overtake India very soon.

I think China will takeover India in terms of outsourcing very soon in the near future. They have more manpower than us who are these days becoming as competant as us with developed skilles and improved English than earlier. India always kept on bosting on its power of outsourcing but never thought of China's rising power. I think still, if India doesn't compete China in more developed ways of technology, we will lose the race of outsourcing with them.

Adding to the point with Sumitra, once they are ready for the competition, the younger generation of china gets reduced, where as we will have a better ratio!

It looks like for few more years we will lead in this competition. But, again we need to be very careful. China are rushing forward. The only -ve point with china wud be, after few years the ratio of young generation would be less than India's!

Agreed with Sumitra, its not possible to penetrate Indian outsourcing market as we are so established and technically sound than China. At least not in near future!

I believe India would remain the favorite destination for IT outsourcing services in future as well due to its expertise in the domain. China is giving us stiff competition as they are cheaper than us but again this won't be enough to buy a client as now a days clients focus on quality first rather than cost. India is leader in the IT outsourcing for last 10 years and has a well balanced track record in terms of affordability and quality. So there is no doubt that India would be on top in the future as well, as far as IT outsourcing is concerned.

I think india is best of all  for outsourcing and it still growing, on other hand china is tough competitor for india because of its low cost, but india has good experience and industries around the world prefer india for outsourcing

Definitely India will have edge over China. The main advantage of India is the command over english language and availability of  technically sound knowledgeable personnel. The government policies are also very encouraging for the IT and ITES.

With due respect to China, I would like to bank on India as a long term player in outsourcing Market.

India has the depth in skill levels, reliability and presents herself as a open, friendly society. The Indian players are free from any Government pressure.

I am placing my faith on India, based on plus points of India, without counting negative points of China.

Thanks Leena, for refering this interesting subject.

In the days to come China will surely overtake India in getting outsourced jobs because by then India would have started outsourcing jobs to China. With the kind of knowledge wealth India is having India may soon change from a service provider to a innovative product developer.
