Adding to the point with Sumitra, once they are ready for the competition, the younger generation of china gets reduced, where as we will have a better ratio!

It looks like for few more years we will lead in this competition. But, again we need to be very careful. China are rushing forward. The only -ve point with china wud be, after few years the ratio of young generation would be less than India's!

I believe India would remain the favorite destination for IT outsourcing services in future as well due to its expertise in the domain. China is giving us stiff competition as they are cheaper than us but again this won't be enough to buy a client as now a days clients focus on quality first rather than cost. India is leader in the IT outsourcing for last 10 years and has a well balanced track record in terms of affordability and quality. So there is no doubt that India would be on top in the future as well, as far as IT outsourcing is concerned.

Definitely India will have edge over China. The main advantage of India is the command over english language and availability of technically sound knowledgeable personnel. The government policies are also very encouraging for the IT and ITES.

With due respect to China, I would like to bank on India as a long term player in outsourcing Market. India has the depth in skill levels, reliability and presents herself as a open, friendly society. The Indian players are free from any Government pressure. I am placing my faith on India, based on plus points of India, without counting negative points of China. Thanks Leena, for refering this interesting subject.

In the days to come China will surely overtake India in getting outsourced jobs because by then India would have started outsourcing jobs to China. With the kind of knowledge wealth India is having India may soon change from a service provider to a innovative product developer.
