I think some laws which are enacted are very old, it is required to amend some laws keeping in mind  the current changes in the society. To make Indian Law more powerful, implement it in right and strict way.

Agrred with Mr. Sunil. No law is complete in its strict sense unless executed. Indian laws are quite exhuastive, amedndments take place as required.

"application of law" and law are two different things. Application of law includes several factors including control over red tapism. There are several jurisdictions in the World where number of laws and regulations are almost one-third of what India has but these jurisdictions are well controlled, and monitored. To understand and ascertain 'differences', one needs to pay attention to the sometimes subtle differences in policies and regulations that govern them.

It goes without saying that certain regulations may call for an amendment but by large, there's a desperate need to enforce them in a rightful manner.

Ramachandra your argument is correct. Law should change according to the society and inturn vice versa. Law and society are dependent on each other. If law changes, society must adjust to law by changing itself and inturn if society changes, then law should change to protect the needs of the society.
