Whether post Tensioned slabs are advantageous than Our ordinary conventional slabs?

Yes...Now a days PT methods are becoming popular in almost all civil engineering structures. Apart from huge structures like bridges, towers etc... now a days this type of construction technique is getting common in small scale construction industries in developing countries . durability, time and cost effectiveness, better quality and functional aspects can be the major reason behind this.hence in my opinion this technique can be promoted in our area with a better cost effective design and qualified supervision at site so that the excess consuption of our resources like steel, concrete to an extent can be controlled.
