Yes our culture has strong base & values it cannot be destroyed by outside influences so easily. Either thro' westernization culture or by Economic growth. We should not mistake just following western food habits & dress culture by our youngsters will harm our culture base & Values. 'Conservative with Modern Outlook' Policy is always best for us. Thanks Yash.

Can we have one more option like "Indian culture is great, but we are attracted/ compelled/ choice-less/ forced to follow the western culture" ?? Anyways, in today's POV, i think our culture on the brink of change! Positive or negative, well, time will tell, but none of us have realized the essence of a 10000 year old culture (may be older!) that is filled with insights, grand ideas and practices for a successful life. Scientific? I bet it is. The way you EAT, the way you TREAT, the way you GREET when you MEET, the way you CHEAT (!), the way you TWEET- this is our culture! People, let's not mimic and try following other cultures; There's lots to India than meets the eye! Cheers!

Indian
culture is rich and diverse and as a result unique in its very own way. Our
manners, way of communicating with one another, etc are one of the important
components of our culture. Even though we have accepted modern means of living,
improved our lifestyle, our values and beliefs still remain unchanged. A person
can change his way of clothing, way of eating and living but the rich values in
a person always remains unchanged because they are deeply rooted within our
hearts, mind, body and soul which we receive from our culture“Respect
one another” is another lesson that is taught from the books of Indian culture.

I prefer commenting to this in a way its deteriorating and getting a percentage of it is getting worse than the foriegn culture. By and large ours is the best culture and we are now allowing it to deteriorate as the education about culture and values are not understood by the today's citizens !
