The upper hand is always goes to technical writter,Because technical writter comes first ind picture without that blog writter is off no use.Though bot the fileds are important and therefore used in the industry, but being a technical writter u can be a blog writer but being a blog writter if u wanna be technical writter its difficult.

I feel both the fields are good and more or less similar. Both are good so long as one gets the returns for the effort.

Technical writing requires special skills to write about the products or process to make the end user understand every step involved without complication. This pays well. Blog also pays if you are a recognized writer or a domain expert. Thanks Manish for this debate!

People say both are rewarding. But, with my personal experience I am telling, blog writing is not rewarding. In blogging, you write your views in detail from different angles on a particular issue. However, if you are not an established writer,  nobody cares for your views. Lols.  I tried it and wrote more than 30 articles of such kind. I didnt get a single paise but received many prizes. Where as the technical content writing is rewarding since you can find a specific segment of takers for it.

Both can be enriching. It depends on what you enjoy doing Manish. Technical writing is something that will need you to push the envelope and put in that extra effort.Content writing/ blog may not need that level of intensive effort. Finally, it all depends on whom you touch base with. Having access to the right contacts to mentor you is a must.

Mr Manish,I think Technical writing pays much more than other mode of writing.However,Content/Blog writing can sustain one for a very long period of time.

Many of my friends keep asking me the difference between a creative content writer and a technical content writer. Both creative content writer and technical content writer do the same job of writing articles and content for websites. However, there is a huge difference in their writing style, way of thinking, area of work, and, of course, revenue! i think so and i would like to get answers from Ur's side :)
