Dear Dipen, You appear assuming that Quality and Price(lower), can not co-exist in same product. The word "Value for Money" does not refer to a cheap product sans quality. It refers to product that satisfies both.

For high-end products, Quality is the obvious choice but for low-end products, price matters a lot.

Ms. Purvi your point is correct, but once they have burnt their fingers and again they will take the right decision in choosing the quality products. Till such time the lowest price will attract them. Thanks for the referral Ms.Purvi.

Hi Purvi, It depends on the three factors: 1. Consumer from a family having Swiss Bank account or so... will consider 'QUALITY' only. 2. Other consumer from (UPL) will consider both quality and price..... 3. And eighty crores my fellow country men will either go after price and / or non of the two.

This is a bit ambiguous topic for debate. Though many of us tend to ask this question 'Whats the price', it also depends on which product we are about to buy. If it is a low end product I would go for a cheaper one; whereas this just the opposite when I buy a high end product. So it all depends on the product at question.

It has to be the price in todays world. Because you will get quality as per the price you pay and consumers know this well. So first they would look at the price and then the quality. Once in a way they would of course love to buy something at a huge price if the quality is good.

Consumers first see the price of a product; if it matched within his pocket then only a consumer decide to buy that product. Within a certain limit of price a consumer tries to buy the quality product.

Branded product have a high price and as you are paying high you will definitely get a quality and to some extent satisfaction. Now because of having higher disposable income, now a day people go for a brand i.e price which ultimately brings quality.

Puravi I agree with you but it clearly shows the people are interested in buying a quality product at at a cheaper price and being duped by the shopkeeper who earns maximum. In our country yes price is the main criteria for purchase and if quality is there it is bonus.

In the first instance - It is the price, which affect first during buying of a product. Quality comes afterword because it can be known only after utilization of product or only after getting awareness. Alind Saxena

Price is most imprtant factor which is affect to consumer buying because whenever consumer are buying product the first word say how much price?. Mass people are available in market who are price concious. The other thing is that many branded / quality product are available in reasonable or less price that company are promote sale promotion strategy in mall, retail outlet, etc. In competitive market, branded-quality products are available with less price or resonable price. Price cover all the things quality, features, speciality, service etc. due to the competitive market. Yes, before 6-7 years ago quality and price consumers were different. And at that time very less competition....
