We can say that due to fastness source of delivering the message, electronic media is better than print media but can't conclude that electronic media influence more than print media.

I agree with most of argument from both sides. Because it depends on situations. Ms. Parwati said that people believe more in things which are black & white.. It is accurate because till now people believe in writing. Companies are doing their Ads(B2B) through electronic media but we can't believe more in watching. We believe more in written agreement, written comments, written terms & conditions, written n written because we know that written is proof for word.

And the next step of electronic media will again print media. Both are influencing people in different manner in different situations...

Watch Electonic Media in it's present form. It covers all the news, that is available easily. That is full of all murders, rapes and all kinds of news pieces, which are easily available. They do not check source of the news and also do not verify the credibility. They do not edit the news to check the sensibility of the issue. With all this, the electronic media is not taken seriously now a days.

For news analysis, detailed views and for forming opinions, people still rely on Print media. Electronic media, may make many advancements, Print media will still be prefered source of news.

Since its origin electronic media is at its boom but what written and media creates is everlasting. Since now in country's like ours is not under electronic media completely. , print media has wider range than electronic media in India. So print media is good than electronic media.

I want to go with print media.

Though electronic media create more impact but it is for time being as the moment you switch to another channel, you tends to forgot what you seen half an hour before.

But on the other hand you will memories the things more which was read by you.

Also take example of our school days. We are present in the classroom while teachers are teaching their subject but still you have to depend on the books-print media at the time of exam. & the same principle is apply for this debate.

& finally electronic media is nothing but the up-dation of print media with visuals. The script ( which is print media) is necessary for everything, i.e. for news, talk show, cookery show & so on------.

You will never come to know with only visuals.

So I go with print media.

Neither,

If watch carefully the events like Bhopal Gas Vs. Terrorist Attacks on Parliament, we (as people, Govt., Society) have not learn any lessons and continue to live as if nothing has happened.

The result, the latest judgement.

Both create instant emotions in us only to vaporise the same within no time.

Definitely Electronic media. The Electronics media Has replaced print media with better and fast flowing news and information. Today it has spread everywhere, both in urban and rural areas. Electronics media has become so effective that we watch live telecasts. The best part of Electronics media is that it gives life picture and the scenes of the places of incidents.

Mass communication bombards readers on a daily basis in the form of both print and electronic media. While each of these types of mass communication has its own character, they both share much in common. In fact, the newspaper industry relies on both print and electronic media to disseminate news to its readership base. It differs in areas like, 1. Readability : Font Size, Spell check etc Similarly, printable text can be corrupted by aging paper, wrinkling, torn pages or stains. 2. Searchability : With minimal knowledge and software, computer users can create searchable PDF documents at their homes or in their offices. Similarly, they can also search emails, photos and virtual bookmarks with the aid of search tags. Print media can be disassembled and organized into folders, such as newspaper sections. Depending on a reader's level of comfort, he or she is likely to exhibit a preference to one type of media over another. 3. Mutability : electronic documents can often be modified via copy-and-paste options, print media can be manipulated by hand with scissors and glue, and can be easily annotated. 4.Accessibility : Print media is available 24 hours a day, as long as a reader owns a copy of the printed material in question. By contrast, electronic media may only be available to a reader for part of the day, often depending on whether she is able to access the Internet. 5.Emerging Trends : A curious symbiotic relationship appears to exist between print and electronic media. Both of these forms of mass media must attract the support of advertisers, while establishing a solid base of readership. News outlets have recognized the massive popularity of electronic media, and many reputable publishers such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal have substantially modified their long-term business models as a result.

It depends on : which Public, what time, influences fast or influences with impacts :-

- late evening : say 11=30 PM : print media is busy to bring out the morning edition. We are watching the TV before going to bed. From the evening they are flashing news in their style. If its a live telecast, "visual media" has the first and fast influence.   ..   .. All may not equally be influenced - some are waiting for the morning news paper to see what is printed black and while. Though with visuals, some do not take the telecast seriously - question of credibility.

- morning : 6=30 AM : the news paper has just reached. The TV is switched off. looking to the news : they have a different version of the news. But printed black and white, may  not change. Now : print media has the greatest influence.  ..   .. all may not have access to this media, it has a cost.

The print media generally seperates news and views. The views are : edetorial and other articles. As a whole, the print media has better credibility and it influences for the long term.

Radio, TV and Mobile phones have become powerful tools of communication.

Radio is still the mass media for the rural population. TV is catching up and also mobile phones.

Unfortunately, due to the commercial interest of private TV channel providers, most of their channels have too little quality contents. Most of the time, what we see are either commercial ads. or some cheap shows in the name of entertainments, both are mostly filled with scantly clad women indecently shaking the bumpy parts.

In the little short time in between, we see mostly politicians or others snarling at each other on some issue the media rigs up every other day, and the anchor persons add fuel to the fire, with least regard for us the poor viewers who pay through our nose for all these.

I feel, it is electronic media which creates more impact with their audio and visuals. It spreads, registers and conveys the message and content more faster and clear than print media. So reach and influence is more.
