Though I am in Delhi now but I think Mumbai is better in terms of professionalism and less prone to crime and of course safer than Delhi. Probably the only short coming is travelling as of now.

The weather well though O.K but much better than Delhi. So I think Mumbai is ideal as compared to Delhi/NCR as on today.

1) I agree with Manoj, Mumbai is a much safer city, also for women.

2) If you want to reach your peak professionally, Mumbai is the place to be. "Mumbai is the New York of India". The professional culture, lifestyle, and attitude will make you into a hardened professional. I have stayed in Delhi, it has a slow and laid back lifestyle. Obviously, nothing wrong with such a lifestyle, but if you want to fulfill your professional dream, Mumbai is a better option as you will learn a lot more professionally.

3) Maybe, start your career in Mumbai, learn as a bachelor, and then once you have a family and kids move to Delhi, as the Delhi easygoing lifestyle will ensure you have time for your family too.

Regards,

Om Deshpande

Everybody is comfortable with the area and popuolation in which he has been born and broughtup. But yes you can work in a totally different area. But while doing so you still are governed by the attitudes developed by you while remaining in the area in which you are born and brought up or lived for a long time. So Delhi NCR region or Mumbai you will always try to find the environment, in which you are comfortable consciously or unconsciously. So whole things boils down to the attitude or any other attraction which the area has. I don't think it is a voting type debate.

Mumbai is too much crowded and costly city .

also you have to traval alot because of traffic .Life is hell in local trains.

Delhi NCR is far better then mumbai .Just visit Delhi .It is too changed now  in every sense.

If you want to stay in MH then choose Pune ..It is cool city..  :)

There are many big companies in Delhi, NCR too like Microsoft and Google. So, from my view, Delhi NCR region is good to start your career.
