I think this time FIFA world cup had more response than ICC world cup in India. Even though India ranks 133 rd position and the team has no chance of qualifying for a berth in the FIFA World Cup anytime soon. Nonetheless, it ranks third among all countries in online “world cup” searches. So will soon see India in the coming world cup !!!

Ankit... People in India are also aware of football as much as cricket. In ICC we have only one team to support, but in FIFA we got Brazil, Argentina, Germany, England, Spain, Portugal, etc.to support and the people in india enjoying the same too.. :-)

Football is a real game which requires athleticism, skills, team work etc everything that you require in a game. FIFI WC stands out with the record of highest watching game event in the world. Cricket is just the game of media/advertisers. Its the media that made cricket to this level.

It is the FIFA WORLD CUP which is better. If we go by the no of audiences or no of participating teams. It is the mega event after the Olympics. ICC World Cup is limited to very few countries. Though we Indians follow it very religiously. Football is played in almost all the countries of the World. Whereas the Cricket is played in only few countries.

Football is not a one mans game its a team effort if one goes down from the team it matters a lot but Cricket is a Single Man's game....if in a team one plays well the team wins....No team effort as compared to football

Of course fifa is most watched sports.india in 133rd position.its not qualified for worldcup.then also in india most of the people like fifa.its having more audiance than cricket.its not a boring game.its more interested to watch more than cricket.some time we will tired of watching cricket.but in fifa it never happens.it cheers up.
