Portals are dime a dozen today and doubtful as most of them just copy profiles from other sites. A reference or headhunting is always a better option as you are assured of quality profiles.

Thanks Deepika for the referral. Actually, from an employer's point of view, I have always preferred head-hunters simply because they provide tailor-made solutions to our specific demand. These profiles from portals are very inaccurate and a lot of man-hours is lost sifting through the pile to locate what may be to your requirement and then the sense of deja vu after a regrettable interview process.

Portal is the best source to identify the talents on time to meet our expectation..it vl help us to beat our competitors as well..other sources will also help but not on time as we required..

It is the primary source of fulfilling the requirement.Portal helps to find candidates those who are looking for change. Also make candidate aware about the openings with them by Job Postings and Mass mails.

You search for talent in serious places like naukri or monster and not in casual places like social networking sites where number of opportunities posted are much less compared to job sites. Social sites are created for the purpose to socialize and not for recruitment pupose. Yes, you may get a job or two from there but the intent there is to socialize. This is unlike job portals where the intent is clear and crisp - Get a job with a fat package!

I think most of the times you get the candidates through portal and you can refine your search in it and the best part is by putting the boolean string you can find the best match candidates....Sometimes reference can be useful but most of the recruiters use portals..

Social Network are better than job portals, social networks provides resources to recruiter to know candidates profile and also many other valuable informations relates to mental ability and attitude and so...  So i hope social network is the best practice for recruitment process.

Job portals now resorting to charge the candidates and promoting the candidates by manipulating the resumes of the candidates who ever paid the money they are demanding. They are also resorting to block the resumes from appearing to the recruiters though the candidate is capable enough. Recruiters will be getting the resumes filtered by the job portals. I believe this is not a correct area for hunting a suitable candidate. Social Net works are seems to have filling the vacuum.

Obvisously Job portal is best source to getting much profiles of candidate. Because it works very well and perfect source as well as beneficial for both recruiters & candidate. If you will analyse that candidate are directly approach to job portal as well as consultancy in this days like naukri.com, times job, shine, monster, team shine etc. Whatever is there each n every candidate will submit or are submitting their resume in every available portal. Even though company are also directly getting profile from job portal. So, 110% Job portal is best source for getting profile...
