It refers to giving outsiders the work but still handling and keeping everything under your tight vigilance. Trust but verify, or more precisely, trust but rotate duties. Occasionally good guys do bad things. Occasionally, trusted system managers, database administrators and application managers will become disgruntled and try to stick it to the Man. So the mantra is ‘Protect yourself.’

trust an expert ... there is no harm trusting a hacker. Its all about being positive...

 

trusting in pure business terms would be outsourcing and yet keeping the decision and core competency with yourself

If you are looking for the most qualified security expert, security consultant, Security Company, experts are the best bet. No one can match their experience and expertise in their field. I think there have been many other instances where hackers have become security experts for MNC’s  and have done exceedingly well.
