I think I have already answered that question before. In every major development in IT, we have Indians or should I say Non-resident Indians in the USA, and thats the reason you see a false picture of who is the best in IT -be it facebook or the Microsoft OS.

Lets not forget Sabeer Bhatia who co-founded the HoTMaiL which was later taken over by MS. Man, he was a genius and developed the world's first successful web-based mail service which MS took notice of. I mean MS (as we always keep harping of this co. in USA) also had its eyes on netscape which was a succesful browser but anyway lost its take-over bid to AOL. MS ppl are just too good at taking advantage over others' success stories and foreign talent. We just need an environment in India created for entrepreneurs and you will see for yourself who is the best amongst the best - thats India for you.

we get projects and contracts from west from countries like US and UK and what we do is just provide service as the labour is very cheap, there is no innovation happening here, has any Indian company till date hold capability of creating the next google or the next Microsoft, I really dont think so...Expertise is always with them who lead in innovation and not just by providing backend services.

Well Monika computers, am not sure whether you make computers or your name has computers embeded in it, which is an advancement by itself as compared to USA.

Now, if catching a criminal is all what is needed to qualify USA a highly advanced nation, then I think we are better off because we atleast dont have those many criminals to develop a similar software (yes we have corrupt politicians for which no s/w can be developed). But if you talk of some decent advancements in the recent past then it is worth mentioning the super-computer, PARAM that is atleast better than catching criminals.

in terms of manpower in IT sector India is richer than other countries..it is with the aid of Indian manpower where other developed countries can think of their development in this sector.

we do not have the facilities and even the govt is against the IT as they have removed the subside / drawback which was given to us earlier.... now in which way do u thing that US is better.. when all the good persons / professionals do support US.

but still we are so much back ward in IT then USA & we have to agree with this point b'coz no one is there who can able to launch and social networking site(facebook), any professional platform(toostep) and OS(win 8) still india is not launching a single thing

Mr. "Saibal Ray" if u forget about the technology then i remember u that USA has the facility and option to switch on the cell phone from their systems to caught a criminal which they already used b4 4-5 years and i don't think so that India should also have such kind of software

Ruchi though I agree with your views but the innovations are in the blood of western countries and see the amount is being spent on R&D.

As for our enterprenures we want fail  safe investment and that is the reason there is no google or microsoft is here.

We can do good things there in USA, but same things we cannot do here in India , we cannot build a new Microsoft or Google here in india. But we can empower google and Microsoft there in USA. UNFORTUNATELY, but fact. That’s why we are lagging. But still we are doing good things for the entire world. So I don’t think this is so bad to work there. But finally USA is better in IT.

USA is the best in IT. If we compare the entire well known ICONs in indian IT sectors are providing service to USA business. Unfortunately we are followers, not the leaders. But still we are improving slowly.

well i go with "Ruchi Chawla for few sentences" and at present if we see practically than U.S is the main generator of IT and theoretically India b'coz indians is the number 1 country who waste most of their time in doing usual discuss in every field to take a final result but U.S is so fast to prove it practically more over we can see the fact that the guy who launch facebook is also from U S not from india and with in his 6 yrs only he gain the amount of billions so is there any one from INDIA who can do the same
