Retaining entirely rests on the need and furutre demand. If theere exists a talent definitle any organization would like to retain their employees.Still focussing on retention of male employees is a bit easier than that of female as male employees are definitely bread earners.Female working somewhere may find it difficult after marraige in some cases.Lastly it also depends on employees job satisfaction. One proved an employee is an asset the organization can do anything for the betterment for them.

It is easier to retain women employees. People might say one thing or the other that they are more serious or loyal or what they feel like. The real thing is women like to do monotonous job and they are good at it also than their male counterparts. This applies to their mental set up. Which results in women not leaving their job quickly as men do.

Agreeing to Prajit Singh, I also wanted to add that if a male employee gets an offer of higher salary and he need to shift from one city to another or country...He will take up for sure...but this is not with the case of ladies they tend to stay at the same place for a longer time and prefer not to leave the family members alone..

Well in todays scenario, for both genders career comes first, but for a women employee after her marriage if she gets a job nearer to her home or within comfortable limits she will stick to it even if comp. is on a little lower side. On the other hand if a male employee gets an opportunity some where else with a hike he will shift his family.

I personally feel that women employee are easy to retain, as they are more commited towards their job and organisation they tend to stick with the organisation. Also it takes time for women to get adjusted to a workplace and once they get adjusted to it, its difficult for them to leave that and just go away.

It is true that Female employee can be easily retained because once they get adjusted to a workplace, women would not like to change their job unless there are some major problems.

Retention is not the criteria but retention of quality is. An employee who takes initiative and improves performance alone has to be retained. Given proper freedom, I think, a woman, with her natural tendency to manage a home, takes leadership and manages things at the office too. Remember Shakespeare (Frialty....) and remember the natural gossip/jealousy issues too, where woman are a disadvantage. A woman who does not gossip; who is not jealous and who is willing to take leadership is a big asset to an organisation and has to be retained at any cost. While on the subject, a male who can take decisions; who can build relationships and the one who knows how much to give/take to/from others, is also a big asset and should be retained. In final analysis, how far an organisation can go to retain an employee will be the driving factor.

For many reasons Female employees would lke to stick to one company: 1) Generally, once women after settling down , would hardly like to disturb their life. Would try to compromise to retain their comfort 2) Also women get attached to work and work place and find it difficult to leave a place after some time. 3) Sticking to one company would have built rapport and understanding with peers and supervisors. This would help to manage personal emergencies, when needed

It is always easier to retain Female employees because it is the basic personality of the females that they want to stick around to one thing rather than shifting from one place to another, till they have some major issues. So in my opinion, it is the Female Employees.

Female employees in general have a tendency to shift gears when they get married. Retaining them is a challenge but however in case of single female parent, female employees have no option but to continue with her job. Male employees on the other hand have no option but to continue being the bread-winner of the family irrespective of whether he is married or not. He is by default left to fend for himself and for his family.

I think its easier to retain a male employee than a female employee. Women can be friendly, stable, powerful but when it comes to politics or anything related to emotions then i think men is stable there.
