Why cant we think in a positive way. Indians might have mastered this game when compared to any other nations. India won 1983 world cup, since then hysteria of Cricket is rocking. If India could able to win a FIFA world cup, Footbal may become game of the people. I dont think its a lazy game. Rather it can be said that, people are lazy here. To watch a football match, you need not invest much time, but for Cricket you need to invest at least 9 hours a day. So, we audience are lazy here and we are mad of Cricket than any other sport.

It is the biggest TIME WASTING Game in the world. Indians specially are not only LAZY but also want to WASTE PAID OFFICE TIME listening to 11 Fools play, 11,000 idiots watching in the stadium. 11 Million LAZY UNETHICAL chaps listen to it in office time. If they had any ethics, they would have taken leave and become the 11,001 idiot to watch the game. But that would have meant loss of 1 days leave/salary.

It is certainly lazier than say, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball and other' olympic team sports, played by rest of the world and cricket isn't.You must have seen pics of cricketers playing soccer or rugby football to keep fit,it is never the other way around,I mean, have you seen Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard playing cricket to keep fit?!!!

British Isles invented 2 games, one was football and the other was cricket, why is it that soccer became popular all over the world but cricket was confined to pockets and more so in South Asia only?why is that in England team,we have had a succession of cricketers of South Asian origin, from Nasser Husain to Mark Ramprakash to Dmitri Mascernhas to Ajmal Shazad to Ravi Bopara but no player of South Asian origin in any team of EPL,leave alone England national team? Why Canada team is almost entirely composed of people of South Asian origin,South Africa too has one,West Indies also has a couple, but no South Asian origin in their national soccer, ice hockey, athletic team respectively? Will someone answer this puzzle?

Its definitely not a lazy game, anyone who has played it, wouldnt say so. My idea of lazing is not standing in the hot sun running after a piece of shiny leather which gets off colour in due course. Amongst outdoor games,I would call Golf more lazy where u hit a putt and wait till everyone finishes for your next shot. As for cricket being popular amongst south asians, it has to do with a bit of history. Cricket was propagated by the british who were the initial colonizers. If you analyse all the countries playing the game they all are former colonies of the british. Thank god the british didnt colonise europe or the shores beyond otherwise we would have ended up as an "also ran" even in cricket !

Well Cricket is a team game that requires lot of strategic planning & proper implementation. As south Asians are masters in leadership qualities, planning, execution & team spirit, they love the game.
