Ppl are very traditional minded, and look at job hoppers with suspicion. Only those of the mentality of the 60s and 70s, of staying in one job for 20 years are surviving n are considered good. PUKE!!!!

I am one of such victims who have to wait for ages to get calls for suitable openings from recruiters & now i am bound to express my feelings here :-( Even if try to contact them, they ask for profile but never turn up...i agree to the fact that at once they can't come up with anything relevant but later too their response probability is almost zero...even now when i am desperate for a change, have been contacting many recruiters on daily basis but still nothing seems to work out for me...here i can only wait for my right time to come...

Recession, and manage with a person less expensive. A person who is in a job looks for a change. They have more experience. May be they know more clearly as to what they are looking for professionally, rather than going for any opportunity that hits them. Recruiters now a days expect people to deliver on a score of add on activities which are not usually specified as deliverables. An experienced person will always recognize this and would try to bargain for it. But the recruiters can exploit the freshers for some time before he/she becomes a pro.

Recruiters never step behind to call any candidate who is looking for a job change. In addition they will like call only that candidate who can change their jobs...

Whatever Janki said the recruiters get so many resume it becomes difficult to choose right minded candidate which I feel some body should go meticulously on all the resumes and then short list the candidates which actually never happens hence the misunderstanding.

I do not think so, before contacting, a recruiter has to process analyse many things in a candidate profile. Contact or not to contact is next step to completion of screening process. A recruiter definately has to contact a candidate is he/she profile fits for the vacant position.

No recruiter I have noticed doing so. Still if noticed by yourself or somebody else it may be due to the attrition meaning thereby they may perceive a short tenure of the hired employee with them too.Else no other reason has been noticed. Moreover could anyone explain me one reason as to why any employee quits or wishes to do so.Other than personal reason the only reason seen is dissatisfaction may be due to improper work culture or challenges or exploitation or less growth opportunity and so...

I agree with you Mr. Janaki, Recruiter is only a mediator who helps to identify right candidate for his Client. Recruiter does not hold any openings. All their activities are very much dependent on the Client whoever, it may be. Contacting the candidates is also a cumbersome job unless, or otherwise, the candidates is assured a job(short-listed).

I completely disagree with this statement, as i am also a recruiter we always try to find the candidate who is fit into the criteria and specially looking for a change interested in company and keen to work with the company because all these thing are increase the possibility of the selection of the candidate.

Thanks Janaki Ram for reference, see Recruitment is just not like other jobs what our fathers or co fathers used to do the people who hesitate to conatct the candidates who look for a job change is seriously not fit to be in recruitment he is not having the capability to understand the need of the client or the candidate i would say because people in the current industry r only by chance they get into recruitment but people by choice choose recruitment as a profession will create wonders but by chance who works will think its just another job like a telle calling job put t search on t portal ask t candidates whats ur C CTC, E CTC, N period the candidate will niether rember u nor ur company name or neither u would have understood the candidate where he will be t right fit the candiate will say i have worked on oracle apps but ur client want people who worked on SCM or finance u will just dump the profile at last the client says dude i want only candidates who has worked on technical but u have send me all functional and techno functional candidates which is not matching our criteria so first n foremost the recruiters never hesitate to call the candidates but r not supported properly with the right criteria to understand the candidate were he will be suitable

Definitely, they should call if the candidate is fit enough to foot the bill. There may be instances,HR will be finding tough to choose one for single position out of a number of aspirants. I agree with Janki, thanks for referral.

No, Recruiter will never feel hesitate and even yet i did not heard that recruiters hesitate. But, yes, recruiters are taking more care as well as depth analyze of candidate because job turn over ratio is already increased. So, all recruiters have made some change in HR policy as per requirement and also more focus, evaluate carefully of candidate while they are hiring..Thanks Janki ramji for referal
