Why does it take years to settle any case? Cant it be on fast track?

What for they have started the Fast Track Courts. The cases can be referred to the fast track courts and settled immediately to avoid the thing "Justice delayed means justice denied:

As of now the time taken is too much to settle a case. The unscrupulas persons take advantage. Why cant the cases are settled immidietly.

Is the practice we are following because of British Raj for nearly 200 years or there is any directive from Supreme Court of India.

Time saved is money earned but unfortunately some thing is amiss some where.
