No doubt Indians are talented but that doesnt meant other professionals are Jackass. One of the big reasons for Indians getting success overseas has been their command over the English language which is regarded as an international language, be it in IT or BPO or anyother sector. English language proficiency in addition to cheap labour cost are two genuine reasons for the success of Indian professionals overseas otherwise chinese and Japanese are more dedicated than us.

I think the debatable options over here is too one-sided with both the options being positives from the Indian professionals' perspective. The word 'professional' is too vaguely described and not specific as to what kind of profession indians are sought after in other countries. My assumptions here is IT sector and hence my answer would be limited to that. Because I dont believe we are in demand for other high-end professions like medicine or space tech or even scientists, barring a few individuals. Indian IT professionals are just too good at managing the last moment rush to complete the delivery with fewer bugs. Moreover, we are unbeatable in doing what is told to do and not doing what is required to be done (innovation). Innovation is what is holding us back because of x factors, but overall the demand in other countries just proves the inherent talent of IT professionals in development/ maintenance projects.

Though the patriot in me would like to claim the former, the truth is that foreign countries like the gulf, africa and to an extent the US and Europe(in IT)do lack professionals. Imagine if these countries had dedicated and talented professionals would the indians stand a chance ? Also as indians we take our work more seriously and unlike the westeners dont beleive in taking the weekend of or packing up at exactly the hour in the evening. We always beleive in sitting and late and working extra unmindful of the lack of additional incentives !

Indians are seen as educated Nakur (professional), who can be instructed to design a better NUT. Americans or Europeans are what they are, Is it easy to get a H1 B like visa from Germany France or Norway, Sweden? Only a few thousand best of Indian talent may find their way to a second class citizenship (green card). The Americans do what they want to do, their level of determination, ability to appreciate, compensate others efforts in there becoming the No.1; is why they allow Indian Professional (Naukar). As they know these folks are Naukar in attitude, outlook, energy level and looks.

Lack of professionals could be the reason as I feel they are very professional than Indians..but most of them live the life they want..pursuing different careers. Indians concentrate only on studies so we can find more people related to a particular profession so they don't mind Indians working with them as long as their work is being done.
