The term "law" is used to denote the whole process by which organised societies, through government bodies and personnel(legislatures, courts, administrative tribunals,law-enforcement agencies and officers, penal and corrective institutions etc.)attempts to apply these rules and regulations and thereby establish and maintain peaceful and orderly relations between the people in that society. According to Austin, sanction is the only means to induce obedience. It is incorrect to say this because law is obeyed because of its acceptance by the community. Further international law is a law despite of the fact that it can't punish the people or impose sanctions.

hello Himanshu, laws are made to ensure safety and assure wholesome environment along with acts to punish the offenses.but,in a democratic country any law is looked at different perceptions and sometimes made to circumstances and amendments at the wish of people in power which is not correct.

Laws are made to ensure safety and assure wholesome
environment for the peoples. Laws are not made to punish the peoples but are
meant for ensuring safety and assure wholesome environment for the peoples and
to prevent the culprits from committing the offence and to deter the other
persons from committing the same offence.

Laws are nothing but "Lakshman Reka" for the citizens to act in the free and democratic country like ours! Anything in excess is dangerous, therefore, we need to confine to this boundary in order to lead a peaceful, tension-free life! If the laws are manipulated to harass anyone then the State is erring the very fundamental of law. To monitor and ensure such excesses do not occur, the Apex Courts, High Courts and other lower courts are constituted.

Laws are made to educate people about its weaknesses and teach them how to break it lawfully. Laws are made for common people only. A class of people who are above the laws, enjoys the life, and urges comoon men to obey Laws. Hence, the law makers always worj out the ways and means -how to break it within the limit of Law.

Nowadays law also became some kind of eye wash. Laws are meant only for the high class people that too they decide the judgement. Its waste of time to discuss on this topic. Even my grand child after 40 decades they too going to discuss on the same. Can anyone give me answer who killed Jessica? for what purpose they prolonged this case for more than ten years. Whether Mr. Raja going to be sentenced life time for this huge scam?
