very recently i have read in a popular newspaper that some students of Bihar and some of South India have come to a conclusion for a fuel to vehicle other than petroleum product ,.They demonstrated successfully in USA.

How do we know that viable alternatives have not been found? They will never put the trillions of $ worth of petro eco-system at stake untill the last well dries off. It's business and it's all about money! let's assume u find an alternative today: what happens to regulations, new refinery projects, drilling rights, petro-funded elections and programs, exploration investments? It's the artery of the intertwined global economy and nobody is willing to slash it

If we want to save over next generation from the illeffects of global pollution we have to ask ourselves these type of questions more frequently.
Anyway as far as i think we should opt for such type of alternative energy which can be accepted by the society i a much faster and economical way.You talk about any alternate energy today issue which we are facing is how fast we are devoloping it and what are we doing for its general availabilty to the society.Whether it is solar,Hydrogen,Cellular or even CNG we are straightly talking about 10 to 15 years for availabilty to general individual.Nobody is sure about which alternate energy can be replace the current fossil fuels.Lots of people are behind biodiesals, some are behind hydrogen even some are behind solar etc.We can find the split in will to solve this issue here itself. What ever is the best source first we have to come on a common platform and then should we decide so that it can be applied once for all at globally.Without that any alternate energy we think and devolop it might be useful for somebody might be not useful for some.

The country being corrupt from top to bottom one can see that no body wants to have a alternative fuel where they think that they might be deprived from their benefits that they are having now so, they are not really thinking about the future and not letting it take its own course, if not people would have already come out with alternative for fuel by this time, so i totally agree with Mr. Gopinath on this

Yes even i agree with parag on this that people have a mindset like whatever they've been provided they'll have it, so they don't go for change or even think about that, even the government and politicians should be criticized for these things like not going for research as other countries give more and more importance for research. So mainly these ppl are not interested in these things to happen or there is no proper structure for research in the country at the moment..

As every other developed countries are into research for alternative for fuel but none of that is happening in India, as such Indians are into always a different mindset like until and unless they are not forced to change, they'll just do what they are doing and not see the implications of their actions on future, so may be the mindset like this which is avoiding for it to change or go for new technology like developing alternative fuel for future.

I think we are not interested to know about alternative fuel or bio-fuel. We should ask the government about this and what are all the action plan they have taken. We have had a bad habit about blaming the government but we never raised a question against them and no unity among us.
