Its not about Anna Hazare and his teams achievement its about the common man's achievement of his rights. Its a good step towards elimination of corruption. They should win as they are fighting for a good cause and anyone who is fighting for such a cause should win. We need more Anna's at different levels in our society.

We can change India with or without Baba Ramdev & Anna Hazare

There are only few problems

1. We are not united / Unanimous

2. We are not taking the Lead

3. We are egoistic & always fighting

4. Not really interested in Solutions

5. Always blaming others

6. Hatred of any kind

Solutions

1. Honesty

2. Love / Respect

3. Truthfulness

4. Faith / Trust

5. Determination

My Final Conclusion before I exit Toostep

A Brainy Indian is one, who converts negative into positive.....a Brainy Indian is one, who converts enemy into a friend......a Brainy Indian is one, who converts waste into Useful Energy / Product.......a Brainy Indian is one, who converts Ego/Controversies into solution & so on......

Friends, Let us not fight but Unite for the brightest future of India and we all must learn to respect others to unify our energy in one direction for a Prosperous & Shining India

I agree with you on one Point " Lets not fight but unite for the brightest future of India". But unitting with whome? Lets not forget that India will have bright future only when Honest and inteligent people are at the helm of affairs. To day Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev may look like honest and good but honest in what? Also we need to know are they inteligent enough to take the country to the brighest future? Most honest and inteligent people in this country do not have the courage and are selfish and as such they dont get themslevs involved in any movements. May be because a large majority are selfish and use every other opportunity for fullfilling their own ambitions. We dont need Lotus in a dirty mud, but we need Lilly from a clean pond. We have seen in earlier efforts of JP. what happened all greedy selfish people joined the movement grabbed the power later and we are back to square one. Same thing will happen even now. First of all these people should learn to accept that we have a large population and population density of India is the highest in India. Root cause of all our problem is Population density, and we are not doing any thing on that. If all these people use their energy towards reducing the population density then the pressure on environment will get reduced automatically, our greed for more money will also end because we would have reduced the number of people competing to grab power amase wealth also get reduced. our energy will then turn towards helping others. In our fight for building Clean India, we are killing even honest people or in the process make them give in to the hands of dishonest. If you start fighting for inclusion of PM and CJ, forgetting the fact that who is occupying these seats now, with giving them an opportunity, help and support to cleans their own following, you will be destroying them and in the bargaining you are left with only dishonest people. After all Even LokPal will be a himan being and who will control him if he himself become a dectator? The solution lie in preventing people making pilitics their life time carreer unless we limit that we will have people aiming at remaining permanently in the power seat. It looks like we have not learnt from history of our country? Why then teach history in Schools? Among moghuls emporrors we had kings like Akbar, we also had king like Ashoka among Mourya's, but then since the power got transfered to their own kith and kin even when they did not have the capabilities and are dihonest, these kingdoms got destroyed. Instead of current fight on LOKPAL Bill, our demand should be towards limiting the tenure of a person in the seat of power to 5 or ao year in life time and auditing his wealth before and after occupying a seat of power and automatically confisicate the wealth earned through easy means.

Mr Shantanu and others on RHS,

The most important error being made is by calling it "....achieve they want?"

Do you sincerely believe Anna and now Baba Ramdev, are doing agitation in selfish  interest? and even if true,so What is the harm in trying another time? After all six and a half decades people have been doing exactly that and being taken for a ride by smooth talkers.

Once you have found answers you would start believing that they will and it will have to be thus especially so when all join them.  People especially so called elite who mostly feel unconcerned should be thankful that someone is using their own mass base for good of nation and its citizen as a whole.

There had been hidden desire to have public agitation.Polition lewed votes to get power using undisclosed source of money to market their image. Now that money has become throne fot their throat.Incidently cong(I)targeted as leading UDF,but also spils mud other parties, system incl election process & all public having role of voters.Everybody needs to introspect own responsibilty & learn lessons of democracy. It is high time to decide revolution in terms of time-frame,Tangible & Intangible measure to plan Unanimous consensus pogram, radical & critical path of it, grawth agenda in hand & risk factor of civil war that may result.

This is pessimistic talk.Laws are made to protect interest of people & Nation & provide justice for them.KALIYAMOORTHY probablely undermines needs of large nombers of Indian slogging in poverty. As such Government must had taken measure long before some common man blow  wistle & to avoid such thing to happen. It is high-time for Governace to be proactive to prevent unrest turns to agitation & revoluation instead of applying delay tacties.

This is a pessimistic talk.India had been ruled by foriegn for a long period. This has resulted in a slavery mentality.Laws are made by society for a noble causes.Society should be able drive legislature.Kalyanmoorthy probably undermine urgent needs of society that is comprised of large section of poverty.Governance must address proactively to set & achieve goals/target taking revolunationary step before unrest of people explodes to geintic size

People Power? Most People dont think, evaluate and analyse before supporting or opposing. Most just think about an opportunity for them. Some may think some thing is better than nothing and think this could be a good starting point. Some blindly follow because others are following and it must be good for the country so just follow. What is the use of such people power? it is not going to do any good for this country. We have seen in the past the result of people power in Assam AGP, In the country JP movement. AT the end what we got. There is no use with such half baked solutions and people backing such solutions. Politicians, both ruling and opposition are just politicians and they dont bother about the country. They just want to grab power by hook or crook. What was Jayalalitha earlier? How come karunanidhi Lost and Jaya won? Do you think TN People are smart and voted DMK out because of Coruption charges? Even after populist programm like TV distribution Land distribution, Rice distribution and so on. With all that every one in TN would have become richer and poverty should have gone. DMK was voted out because probably these measure did not reach the real poor but went mostly to others who did not deserve. Or These were distributed in Paper mostly and money pocketed, after all how can any one check. So DMK must have lost because of that. Now corruption prevention: Who will appoint LOKPAL? Who can remove him if a person occupying that seat turns out to be a puppet or corrupthimself? How can the BIll guarantee that they will be able to find a person who will be bold, honest, doesnot yield to pressures and who will choose a person like that? History has shown to us that Politicians can find a way out and corruption can continue. Unless we change the constitution first I dont think we will succed in eradicating the corruption in this country. Politicians can paint a picture of honesty, boldness etc even to a street dog. it is that easy to day. Make person occupy a chair give support and project his image by planting news, curcultating news about his capability etc. Then give responsibilites after responsibilities and project his image. Make him pass coments on ruling party creat drama and on his advise punish some of your own memebrs. Then Tell people hear is a person who is above all he has brought to light evils in Rulaing as well as Opposition he is unbiased etc etc. and make him LOKPAL. We may alrady have such people in waiting. Even Civi Society and Baba Ramdevs groups also might have been penetrated by evils, who knows? How Anna and Baba can prevent such things in their own out fit? Ultimatley what are the ambitions of Civil society and RamDev?

What Anna Hazare & Co are doing is not going to result in any good thing for this country. Politicians can plant a Puppet as LOKPAL. if LOKPAL himself does any thing wrong who will catch him? Only way to stop corruption in this country is by changing the constituion. Make following changes in constitution. A person can hold public office only for 10 years in his life time. There should not be any election campaign because people can judge a person by what he has done in his area. ensure 100% voting. Give voting right to all persons about 15 years. Parent should be given 1 additional vote if he has one child plus his own vote. if he has 2 childs he should be elgible for half vote. Persons having more than 3 children as on 1990 should not be legible to contest any election and that should be reduced to 2 children as on year 2000 and one child as on year 2010. A person not having any child should have 2 votes. A person not having any child can contest elections for 3 terms (15 years). only one oerson from a family can contest elections. (Family means husband wife, children, father and mother). Keep relegion out of government. No funding of relegious institutions by government. person in power and position should not visit any temple or relegious institution. People are his god and work is worship. as long he is in power. Then corrutption will come down and not by appointing LOKPAL.

I think they will win as they have people support and also good support from the Opposition parties as well. If the Government does not agree to the legitimate points, they have the option to once again go back on the streets ! I think the Government would not like them to go back since they are ones who agreed to talk due immense public pressure.

They must not because it will dishearten the common public more. Team Anna is not totally dependable. There are complications present within the so called representative of civil society as that is also not elected by common public rather they are self designated representative, no links or consultations with common public. As a member of common public I would have restrained to select the father and son duo in the panel. Moreover Mr. Santosh Hegrde is disastrous and was a complete fallout in Karnataka. Moreover Mr. Arvind Kejriwal seems a mere puppet to Anna and he has got no significant role other than flattering Anna.

Hey Mr. Ketan,

Media garnishes these people & indirectly, uses as a weapon to win the heart of govt. Right selection of people & setting a goal to achieve with persuasive mood is more important. Real goal may not be achieved now, but eyes can be set-in to get it slowly. The vested interest of the group makes them play their hand in otherway around.

Thanks, Darshna! The movement lead by shri Hazae against the CORRUPTION is very good and it very much necessary if want to leave Peacefully in India. It is no doubt that Annaji is walking on the path of Mahatma Gandhi but his short temperament and taking hasty decision with out going in to depth can create a Hurdle in the achieving the goal.A proper planning and totally concentrating on one point,'Corruption' with out going in to here and there (commenting on government's other activity) can give success. Here team selection is very crucial as finding true Patriot from the bunch of Fame interested politicians is very difficult and this is the main criteria of the movement.

Hey Mr. Bharat Sadani,

It is not a delay tactics. The fact is explained very crisply. In a democracy , everybody has a say & place(price). As you see now, the team is unable to mobilize an unanimous decision on such issues. These issues are lying dormant for a decades. But, at-least now, people are at liberty to rise the issue openly & call for a positive solution. Consultative decision making is the very base of any decision making in democracy.

Corruption has not come up all of a sudden in India. Since your birth it is there. Probably, you & I are younger & unaware of its presence. But, now, the people express the desire to take initiative to curb down. The way and means are explored & it is on the pipeline. Anna's Lokpal is, the one that they thought of.

Moreover, India's constitution provides us ample scope to reduce corruption. But , are we doing it? Are the machinery successful in attempting to curb it, in toto.

Aiming to collapse a system is a means for agitation that turns your hard-earned money into ashes & increases the poverty rather than flourishing it.

Proactive measures are to be taken by earlier Govt also. But, none has taken initiative pro-actively. Probably, the reasons may be that corruption was not given that degree of importance. Now, we are in Globalization, inviting millions of dollars from out-side on investment. Naturally, the scope for corruption percolate every inch of people. Because they are dealing a diversified people with different Geographical orientation. People need to understand their mistakes and understand their fault for corruption. It is, you & I are partners of this development. The Govt machinery is there to safeguard your interest.

Hey Mr. Bharat Sadani,

What I expressed here is the fact. Have you watched the press meeting of Lokpal?. It was an hour program. What I mentioned is nothing to undermine the effort. But, I sums up the fact where we are on this. There are few questions put up . For which, no consensus arrived at . Moreover, they demand States opinion included .

Going by system is different than by ruling by agitation. In a bigger democratic country, every body has a say. Govt needs to listen before arriving at a conclusion. The statement articulated in the Press meeting is very clear that Govt really want to have a Lokpal. But, you see the inconsistent approach adopted by the various team. They have a right to do it . But it is unfortunate that, there is no consensus & there by no conclusion.

Whom are you going to blame?. Arriving at a consensus is at whose hand? Is it in your hand? So, requiring a change is a legitimate aspiration of the citizen. But, it is to be evolved by a majority consensus. The kind of & the number of political party we have in a democratic set-up, makes these task really difficult. Why do not the Civil group adjust to these understanding and arrive at compromising consensus so that, the change that you desire comes out.

Yes Ms Dharsana,

We have to wait & watch. Because, the draft takes its' own course:

  • People takes democracy for a ride.
  • No unanimity of opinion among the JDC, particularly, the civil group.
  • Govt. need to compile the opinion of States & political parties.
  • Cabinet is to approve the bill .

More intriguing fact is that, the Civil group that mooted the draft , is not at all interested to somehow make the bill possible. As, the JDC , gives a clear indication that, the draft whatever put up for approval, can be modified in the future as situation warranted. But, the group is not interested in it & on the other hand, propose for Hunger strike- an indirect threat to govt. that jeopradise both the people & the governing body (a foreseeable misuse of people support).

If there is a real intention of doing something, it needs to wisely compromise on certain issues & make hope for future improvement. They should feel ,at-least, now, after so many years it is coming to shape. Mere bullying & shouting from the roof does not fetch anything but only pass-time.
