Tim Cook, who is stepping in for his boss Steve Jobs for the third time in seven years, faces the challenge of keeping up Apple Inc.’s product development and girding the iPhone and iPad maker for rivalry with Google Inc.

Cook, 50, Apple’s operations guru, took charge yesterday after Jobs, who has been receiving treatment for cancer and a liver transplant, said he was taking another medical leave. What do you think people, will Apple be the same without steve jobs at the helm?

yes.....As chief operating officer, Tim Cook runs day-to-day operations. This is  not the first time where Mr. Cook is stepping in for steve jobs, he stepped in for almost six months in 2009 during Jobs’s transplant leave, Apple shares climbed 70 percent. While Jobs, 55, sets the creative vision for Apple’s products, Cook’s oversight includes sales, manufacturing and distribution. So he has done the job for Apple on many occassions, and will do this time around too...

Any org is not depending on any individul. Steve already setup the plans or schedules for their org. The successor might be working closely with Steve for the past 10-15 years, they might be able to react and launch products as Steve did in the past. Of course no one deny that Steve bring nack Apple into lime light after his return to Apple. Everyone knew that and no body can take that flame from him.

This could be a yes or a no. There is no guarantee that anything will be the same. Things & situations can always change. It might change for the better or the worst. Only God knows and only time will tell just how good things will be.

Apple will neevr be the same again .Steve had given his personality ,his passion his aggressiveness tough may be too much but he imply was the face Apple. NO matter how much people debate about his policies and whetever they were correct or not , the product line is really not innovative and has only catchy UI , the prices are way over priced or whatever , we canot ignore that Apple is a phenomenon and most of this came from Steve (Even his support of iphone dropping calls blaming on the style of holding and not the iphone itself ) , Apple will never be the same again .
