India is a cricket crazy nation, and a brand new cricketing action will unfold today. The Champions League which is a great sporting spectacle which happens in football, will be happening in the cricket for the first time, but will smart marketing be enough for cricket's version to catch the eye?

In this league only the Top domestic sides in the world in T20 will be participating and not all, and this will surely give who is the No. 1 interms of T20 domestic team in the world, and there are several known names like, the IPL teams RCB,Deccan chargers, and Delhi dare devils, and there are teams like the cobras, the sharks, eagles, volts and many others in the fray...

It will be an exciting tournament for sure, but the important thing here is, will it generate the same interest as IPL did? with many foreign teams in fray, can this champions league be as successfull as IPL? Share your views people.

Hi Yes it will be successful like IPL, and it must be. As the sponsorship and the buzz that Lalit Modi could do, that shows even non cricket lover is going to see the glimpses of it. And through this we can show the world our cricket muscle power and create our own global event.

I think this Champions league would be a success as the cricket is a craze and a religion in India. While the best teams of 20-20 from all over the world with best of the world players are going to compete with each other. And on the other side the telecasting would be on the ESPN - Star Sports, so more of the sponsors has sponsored this league. So this champions league would be a success.

I think this Champions league format will be successfull and for the fact all the top domestic champs acros the world in T20 are participating and this gives that difference from IPL, where IPL was only Indian teams, but here there is variety and will be more exciting than ever, as T20 itself is getting more popular than the one-dayers and Tests, so surely this champions league will be as successfull as IPL, but the concern here would be when the foreign teams are playing, will the crowds throng the stadium with no Indian team...i guess these things would have been addressed by the management, and we are sure for an exciting diwali with the champions league around.

Actually this is becoming a craze for the advertising companies and promoters rather than the public,

Its not sport any more .Its business for TV,Sponsors and Advertising companies and bookers not to forget the Bigwigs of administration who rake in Millions

This will not last long since the sopirit of sport is missing

Champion's league will be quiet popular in India but not as successful as IPL. India is a cricket crazy nation not football crazy. We have already seen this among the popularity of World cups of cricket and football. One can say in World cup football India never plays, but in no international league of non-cricket games we can see so much craze as we do in cricket...
