no i dont think so.....politicians are not interested in any type of restriction to get power and money from politics, they are just trying to down the anger of the public against corruption only.

India today needs change in mindset of leaders. Unless & untill the greed for money is finished no Law can abolish corruption from India. Corrput politicians will not allow Lokpal Bill to come up, but however if it comes they will get together to step against proper functioning as they are doing currently.

We need a overhaul of Indian Political system, the way they get elected to power, and two opposites conveniently join hands in the name of "coalition" take advantageous position in looting the country, eligibility criteria clearly drawn with basic qualification and no dubious records, and the person getting elected should move about without security men in to the hinterland and get along with the public, as they go out to seek vote, and so on and so forth. Only then, one can really think of such Bills to work in this country! Otherwise, Lokpal will be reduced to "Ombudsman" status, as that exists in the PSUs for grievance redressal without any jurisdiction and power!

An honest No ! These people will make a Lokpal Bill with 1001 loopholes, so that corrupt can escape. How many laws we have seen in the last 50 years? We are not able to hang Kasab... We are not able to do justice to ladies who were burnt burnt alive in various places across India. This is a lawless country. Forget Lokpal and live happily. Take care of your family. Let wiser counsel prevail !!!
