Will digital advertising ever enter the arena of city targetting?

I agree with you Minerva, once we have a superb ad server and a tracking mechanism in place which will provide us with accurate results, city targetting will surely happen. I think Technology will help in this regard, with mobile phone base increasing in India like anything, ads will now run on mobiles than on traditional media as before, and with blue tooth technology & increasing number of smartphones, it will be something like, if a consumer passes by a store he will get a ad of various discount offers that is there and the new collection that has arrived there, so this city based targets will be on the same lines, but will be something like giving city specific details, like if the person is near an Airport then one will get ads of best air fare services or taxi service that is there in the nearby loacation from the telecom operator tie up, and the New google nexus phone which has kept ads in mind in its phone, as already they have bought admob in this regard will drive on same thing, so yes Digital advertising will enter the city specific targetting.  As Google already gives relevant city based ads in its search, so yes this will happen for sure.
