In the bad old days, corporates flew their HR teams to multiple cities across the country, paying for airfares and attendant other overheads, in an attempt to pick the best young minds from B-schools.

That world is facing demise, with companies preferring novel methods to choose the right candidates, reaching out to the net-savvy, socially-networked youth through interactive, problem-solving methods that are appreciated by the younger generation and gets the right candidates for companies.

Yes, I feel that recruitment through the net using creative and interactive game-playing could just turn out to be the solution to the long-standing grievance of HR honchos that they are unable to get the right candidates.

Although new methods of hiring have many benefits and are getting increased acceptance and visibility - the traditional methods of hiring are here to stay. The old methods could be scaled differently and applied with a fresh approach to match some of the benefits of the newer methods.

yes, there r so many traits in a person which can be discovered by interacting with him properly in all dimensions which cant be done by the primitive method,may be the downfall is due to this reason that we r not opting for newer options,its time for us to come n think outside the pond, as human resourse is a field where one needs to relate to human, as the name suggests, so acc to me its the right way.

Definitely, Interactive hiring gives out more information about the person than through any other process.

In today's time, they keyword is too be the most visible and socially active, to be in the news and in demand. This automatically elevates the person's credibility, as the more transparent and visible the person is, the more authentic is his/her background.

This is the easiest and most result oriented way of getting the right talent. Normal hiring has already taken a backseat and soon it will be obsolete.

This method may be tried and tasted.

This may not mean that traditional group discussion and interview may be replaced soon. Interactive & problem solving method may help HRs to 'shortlist' candidates.

In my thoughts, combination of both may help.
