as we know JavaFX is a client side technologie, we can not use it on server side, yes PHP, Python, JRuby all of them are and will be, but as we know there is a very big filter for web designers and it's the difference and power of browsers (Clients),many of developers like me have problem(s) with IE and sometimes with another browsers, for example IE family in security and visual render are really weak even IE8 got 20/100 from acidTest3 when Chrome and Opera got 100/100 because companies can not get along with each other, specially Microsoft, so it's so better use of lightwave technologie like JavaFX, Flash is good but gets a large size, JQuery needs browser support,... but JavaFX needs JDK

I'm completly disagree with you Mr. Bhattacharya, because 1.Java is most pupolar language in the world, 2.JQuery, OpenRico,... are not so lightweight 3.for having JQuery in a page we always are worry about does IE support it? believe me JQuery should be so powerfull than now, but IE is something Filter in front of web designers and also about JavaFX..., no the browser doesn't have any changes, because we have JDK

Yes JavaFX will be the future, even though it is in its beginning phase as it includes an SDK, a NetBeans IDE, a tool for exporting creative assets from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to JavaFX applications called the Project Nile and a Java runtime beta that’s supposed to drag a live running applet out of a browser and dynamically transform it into an application running on the desktop. So this will surely leave behind the other rich internet applications...

Any new technology get faster popularity if it is easy to create and handle. i want to say that if there are good ides available for a language then developer easily grab it.In case of javafx ,its good but lack of good ide to develop javafx quickly. mocrosoft's silverlight and javafx both has the same flavor, but silverlight get popularity because of good ide whether javafx not. thanks and regards shubhashish

Java FX has a lot of drwbacks in terms of performance. If a developer can get the same performance with less memory taken, why wouldnt he go for it. More over, JavaFx is going to lose its Father. Flex being in the market for a long time and optimized to the maximum extent, is easier and simpler to use.

disagree my ArAsh. it doesnt matter JAVA is popular or whatever other things u explained. but its does'nt explain that the future of javaFX will b the same. yess its possible that may in future market of javaFX wil grow up but like bhattacharya sir told its nearly impossible to take over whole market.

I don't see in future JavaFX is becoming ubiquitious. This is for the reasons 1. Since it again needs installation facility, it can not reach 100% internet audience. 2. JQuery etc are extremely lightweigth and hence will always outperform JavaFX in terms of speed. 3. A certain kind of application written in other languages will always prefer jQuery etc. May be in future, JavaFX will create a market for itself, but taking control of the market? I don't see any possibility.
