Will Pixel be able to create the magic which Nano could not?

India's largest auto company by turnover, Tata Motors will unveil a new compact car, PIXEL based on its micro-car Nano platform exclusively for the European market at the 81th Geneva car show on Tuesday. The three door Gull Winged -(doors that open towards the sky) small car currently at concept stage will be an experimental model for the European market will come under the all new brand. It is expected to have Nano dimension of size but will have much larger interiors and design developed keeping in mind the much demanding European customers in mind. Though it is not designed for India still it is basically on the platform of Nano, which failed to create a long lasting effect though the price was low.. Will Pixel be able to create the magic which Nano could not?

Perhaps they have learned from their mistakes and have improved. An enterpeuner never wants to fail twice in same project. I suppose they have taken due care this time and will fix all the flaws before the car makes it to the beautiful European roads..

The average height of an adult male in Europe is 178 cm. The average height of an urban adult male in India is 164 cm. This 14 cm difference for both front-seat and rear-seat passengers, means at least, one extra foot of space required in a car meant for Europe as compared to a car meant for India.

Besides, cars must be designed for maximum height rather than average height. This is why the Hyundai i10 is unacceptable in Europe !

The developed world has unforgiving norms of Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) levels. India does not enforce those. And Indian manufacturers are happy not to be forced to conform. IMHO, Tata and Mahindra have a long way to go yet.

Expect diesel nano to launch this year. Pixel is very innovative, but if its launched in India with same specs, it will be pricey

i agree with mridula...definetly TATA's have learned from the mistakes they have committed with the make of TATA which is not going well with there Reputation ...so they will surely bounce back with the new launch.

Tata never does magic in any segments, specially Automotive. They deeply researches and then clears off the bottlenecks. A gret "failure" for Tata Sumo....

Over the period of time and refinement, it is still the liking for many. Safari another failure in India, success in European market.

So they are bound to suceed, over the period of time and refinement.

In my opinion the Pixel can not make any magic in European market where the customer base taste is different and they are used to different style. The major difference is the design aspect of the Pixel which may not be liked by the European customer segments.The height and leg space are going to a great problems for this car. i think you havnt clear ur statistics . Tata may not b the most successful automotive yet it has a very good demand in India .In north India sumo &  safari has worked outstandingly .
