With Google wave still taking time to come, in the mean time there are many in the same arena coming with their products like PygoWave and Shareflow and even might get themselves users and this would create sme loyals to these respective Applications for that matter and would eat some of Google wave's share of users. So will PygoWave and Shareflow give some stiff competition to Google wave?

According to me these applications are just trying to cash in on Google waves anticipation that it has created for itself, and these tools just gives the Trailer sort of thing like What Google wave will look like, so i guess they would not pose such a great threat for Google wave on the whole, but one can be sure that it is getting hotter by the day and People want the Best that is Google wave and nothing less....But then Shareflow is something like one can't ignore about it and one that deserves more than a passing mention towards it. Shareflow by the looks seems almost everything Google Wave speaks about. It has almost everything to make communication move out of emails, even though it is essentially a paid product, but then the basic plan comes to everyone for free with 25MB storage and 5 flows though there is no cap on users.

Don't know much about PygoWave but Shareflow looks good and would surely give some or other concerns with its applications, as it has similar things not completely but even what it has it is more than enough for some people and with Google wave taking a lot of time to come out in the market will sure give shareflow a chance to get many users in its kitty..

Shareflow is proprietry, dont know about pygowave. i dont think there's much competition here for Google , given that the launch is slated for September, barely a month away.
