Will Reliance and Spielberg association be a successfull one?

The Indian entertainment business just went from being a good one to being extraordinary, actually it doesn't get bigger than this one. Reliance ADAG will get cult Hollywood director Michael Bay of the superhit 'Transformers' franchise that grossed over US $700 million worldwide to direct a film for it. This will be followed by two more films in which Steven Spielberg will be actively involved the legendary director will even wield the megaphone for one.

Earlier this year, Reliance Big Entertainment (RBE) and Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks Studios entered into a much publicised US $825-million deal. The Michael Bay helmed film 'I Am Number Four' is the first instalment from this venture said Stacey Snider, the CEO of DreamWorks Studios, With the backing of Reliance, they will be able to continue developing and producing films for worldwide movie audiences and with 'I Am Number 4' the successful partnership starts with Michael Bay slated first on the list, who truly delivers movies that have mass global appeal.

And the other 2 films being "Pirate latitude" and "Harvey", the former being a novel of Michael crichton who gave us the Jurassic park which according to me changed how Hollywood was seen in India, and then there is 'Harvey' for which Steven spielberg himself will fill in the shoes of a Director.

I think it will be premature to say how this venture will do, just because they have invested so much money doesn't mean that they are sure shot of success, it all depends on what kind of product that they are coming up with the association, and with the reports to go by, we can easily say that with Mr. spielberg at the helm and directing one of the movie is a good sign, and Michael bay who is one of the top directors in hollywood directing a movie. With this half the job is done but then would like to see in the coming days like how eventually things falls into scheme of things.

I also think that this is not the right time to predict anything. Their so much investment doesn't decide their success.
