We had a long bull run since mid 2002 to 2007 end. Every bull run stretches the valuations far beyond fair value levels, that most companies demand on stock exchanges. Every 4-5 years we have seen imminent crashes coming, which wipes out a significant portion of investors portfolio and compresses the over-stretched valuations far below or to the fair value levels. So what ever going on now is going to affect but for how long is a big question.

Credit and Liquidity crisis may have temporarily forced FII into Forced Liquidation, but with things returning to normal conditions, much more investments (FDI and FII) will flow into India. This is a better opportunity for Local Investors to pick shares to their hearts content, since we may not see such a terrible crash and incredible opportunity again for next 10-20 years.

We all have seen the great recession. And we are now seeing that stock markets are rising. Do you really belive that there is a sound rationale behind the steep rise in the stock market?
The continuing slide of the rupee (INR) against the US dollar (USD) is stoking fears that foreign institutional investors (FIIs) could step up sale of Indian equities in the coming days, Do you think that this will lead to FII pull-out ?
