I believe it will. However, it takes time. At the same time we must realise it is not everything to eradicate corruption from this land. It would be a step forward in that direction. The internal bickering of team Anna will only help the opponents of the movement.

They will succeed but they will have to slog for the citizens, success will not come overnight, corruption cant be stopped overnight but the process can certainly take a pace where we can be sure about it. They are fighting for a good cause and anyone fighting for such a cause should succeed, all the best to Anna and the citizens of India in their cause. Cheers!

If we believe in Democratic principle, yes, this movement will succeed, but not immediately. Anna ji and his supporters would carry on this crusade against corruption and the result would be achieved two-three months before the next General Election, so that the ruling UPA-II would go to polls claiming this Lokpal as their achievement!

Not sure. Becuase the eliminatiion of 100% corruption in a Democratic system is impossible. These kind of movement can impose some pressure to aggrevate little bit to the system placed. But for long term basis it is impossible because every department is involved into it. That is the real pity.

I have said it before on the forum and I keep repeating it. Anna's movement is a fast one pulled on the middle class (especially the impressionable ones) by a very self-motitivated group of elite crowd that has not even truly seen the true India. The exception I see is Medha Patkar and fail to understand what she is doing here. I am sorry to punch them when they are down, but nevertheless to put things in perspective the recent revelations of Mrs. Bedi and Kejrival conduct have proved me right.

I don't think so. Having seen many movements from close quarters, I am not hopeful. Let's see.

The politicians of the day will not allow him to win.

Fasting etc are obsolate ways and will not deliver the desired result.

So what Anna Hazare should do is to mobilize people in every Loksabha constituency with a signature campaign to recall the current MPs. Looking dismal way Parliament is functioning, they are not doing anything good for the country except eating into the exchequer.

Have some mechanism in place for every citizen to express his views about their representative and if majority of people in the constituency are not satisfied with their current MP, he should resign and seek re-election.

Definitely these kind of movement from the public society can be expected more from around the world. This shows the lack of confidence to the Governing bodies. Days are very near to brake the enslaved rules imposed to the public society by the ruling...
