The US action is bound to have adverse repercussions in regulated markets such as Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and other markets of Asia, Africa and Latin America where Ranbaxy markets its formulations. Naturally these countries will think twice before allowing import of not only Ranbaxy but possibly other Indian drugs.

No this ban will not effect as many Pharma companies in india have started giving quality drugs as compared to few years back.New policies and overall changes in the industry there will be no effect of ban on indian companies. There are many companies apart from Ranbaxy who supply drugs to US and all international market.

The ban is specifically to ranbaxy's product which doesn't have to do with the other pharma companies.
