Mr.Viniti agree with you. When the people of the country are changing with time then why not politicians and this is surely the way where a politician can interact with many people and try to woo the voters online.
It will definitey gives an advantage to the candidate to make himself more accessible to the people.

I personally think this campaign will support BJP. As we all know, every party is targeting indian youths to vote for, and most of indian youths are working in IT and related sectors where they have direct access of internet. So in my opinion, nothing less than Internet could be a good medium of targeting youths.
Also, as these campaign techniques are new in India, these kind of campaigns method will create a buzz in Indian media and blogging arena, and more and more people will come to know about the party policies and their manifesto.

According to me it might help him in a very minuscule manner in India, as most of the Indians don't turn up to vote at all and the younger generation is the one who mostly miss out on polls, as young generation are the one who are the most web savvy people, might workout and may turn up for the polls and cast their vote. So he is making sure that the percentage of votes go higher this time and towards his party.

i agree with all the arguments, and yes it will not help in any way for his campaign, as most of the voting percentage are from rural india, and so it doesn't matter..

Most of the BJP office bearers are drawing room politician. They don’t know about India. They should use web to inform middleclass about their programmes and their future plans for India, not for canvassing. Propaganda politics cant be done on net coz users are not fool.

I don't think so it will help in any manner as nobody wants a BJP governement at the helm, and even though if he attracts web savvy people the number of votes that he gets is very less from them, as they usually don't go for polls, where figures indicate that in urban cities where there is not even 50% of voting happening, so i don't see how web 2.0 will help advani's campaign.
