It comes from Microsoft backed by architecture designed to work in internet space and changing trends. There can be few glitches in the installation while upgrading but the reviews for Windows 7 so far has been very good.

Microsoft is in the computers of 99% users. it is easy to work with and have a lot of features. Win the introduction of Windows 7, it has upgraded its qualities of servive. Thus it will maintain its top position in future also.

linux n other OS have a better and secure enviroment for computing,these os may not have fancy looks as the vista or 7 of windows but at work both have same power....n a big factor they are not costly as windows and the alternatives of window application like openoffice replaces office of windows are available in linux OS at no cost....

windows is a user friendly OS but not good enough in security topics,it is good for stand alone computing but not good enough for network security reasons.Most important thing is that people can handle Windows but only experts can handle "Linux",so it is true that Microsoft is the Industry leader but Linux make them secure ,in future "Linux" will be the leader of the leaders.In a ward only "Linux" can give you security,better service&smart networking.

I don't think so, these days OS like Linux are gaining more popularity than Windows. They are fast, more secure and more comfortable. Its facilities are far better than that of Windows. Thus, I can see Linux ruling the market in the near future..
