Apple's iPhone 4 Antenna-gate Gambit Pays OffThe iPhone 4's antenna problems continue to be a major tech story, but the debate has changed. Before Apple held the last-minute press conference on Friday, pundits and analysts debated how Apple would respond. That there was a major problem with the iPhone 4's antenna to begin with was a foregone conclusion.

And now Airtel is introducing iphone 4 in october this year...so, with all the antenna problem and its improper reception. Will people in India go for iphone 4?? what are your views on this...

I don't think this antennagate fiasco will cause that much of a problem in India, its just the international media which has made this story blown out of proportion, even now nearly 5000 articles worldwide are created on the same lines by the news media, and Jobs has assured that the rates are reduced for the phone infact much lesser than its 3GS versions, and with Airtel introducing it, there will be no reception problem what so ever in India for that matter, so, yes people will go for it, as iphone is a product and a brand which gives confidence to consumer than anyother product in this segment.

I think well edecated and professional people definately go for this. But after that if product reputation has to go further then it can be accepted by all. Before this common people may be not go for it.

Yes, indeed for the curiosity value but the tech savy amongst us will not go for it. The Apple brand name in itself is so powerful that a few thousand phones here and there will sell but a serious user of mobiles who analyses each and every charachteristic before picking up one would not even touch it with a barge pole so to say.

I support you, Sonam. People will go for it as no one is going to wait for the brand if any other company deliver the same product with additive features. & also customer's choice is changing all the time.

Product Reputation has to go to further lengths to be accepted by all.  Apple's reputation has been damaged, and will take some educated people to bring it back to their level of loyalty and brand.

hmmm....funny responce from apple regarding their antenna issue.stupid to b precise.y crying on other brands when their product is failing?iphone 1-5 doesnt matter.waste product.boasts of 1/2 pathbreaking features and others sucking features.and that too priced at 30k above.only those who hv lots of unused money r really interested in iphones.even a 10k nokia/samsung touch phones hv more features and more value for money product.
