We are seeing most number of new releases from the Auto sector these days, as many new products from auto world are entering Indian market for the first time, first there was news that Harley davidson is entering India, and then Yamaha with its VMAX, and now the Ultimate Aero - the world’s fastest car is set to debut in India with a price tag of over Rs 6 crore that will make it the costliest car sold in the country.

Its maker, the US-based Shelby Super Car (SSC), has decided to launch the car in Mumbai in the next few months and follow it up with a Delhi launch. And the good news is that India will be the just the third market for this car others being US and Russia, with a record speed of 413 kilometres per hour approximately more than 250 mph.

So What do you think guys will these kind of cars find buyers in India?

The market does exist for a price range of 6 cr ( keeping in view increasing number of billionares in India). They do can afford this kind of car but how do they respond to it remains to be seen. THe car could be bought under EPCG scheme by Luxury hotels at reduced cost & can be used to provide premium services.

Dont understand the logic when everyone around the world is running around especially the Developed nations accusing all of global warming should give permit for manugacturing such cars which are contrary to the goals for green world.

They are sure guzzlers and the infrastructure for such things are not wise to invest.moreover such money can be spent for research of renewable energy vehicles of similar speed and enjoy the same

If this was for some mass transport ,it would have been laudable, and worth infra investment

Its sheer hypocrisy to be promoting two opposite things shows those countries with money and people with money dont care w hich way world goes ....preach one practice another

400 kmph is really cool & it's price tag of Rs 6 crore just makes it better.

But hey the point is that this car is not intended to be a mass car & that every product is aimed at own customer base. So here the aimed customer base in India is the rising no. of billionaires. Even the hospitality sector is on rise in India, so this car wud definitely have it's takers among the premium hotels.

So i think this car can be successful in the Indian market.

400 plus kmph!!!!!!!!! Wow, that's a lot of speed.

But can u achieve such speeds on any indian roads? Guess not. This 6cr plus duty car if comes to India will only be a show pony & rarely be ravvved so hard, Except may be speed fest.

Can't understand why people will buy such car, which totally non-practical for road use. Do the sell it without the engine, gearbox, etc??

Such high speed cars can only be driven on the highways in India. Where are the free roads in India within the city?????

I think the decision of the car manufacturer has been taken taking in view that India has the highest growth rate of million dollar people in the world. So they know that Indian rich class is growing richer at the fastest pace in the whole world.

So they are expecting this car to sell.

But i am sure that these rich guys are not fools and they know the value and the utilization aspect of their investment.

Keeping in mind the current road infrastructure this car would not be able to perform up to its expectations. So the investment is not going to be worth for is users.

Maybe some would just buy it as a prestige value and to show it off.THATS ALL.

I think the launch of these ultra luxury and sports vehicles in the country is due to India being the emerging market and is seen as stable market for such cars, the cost of this car is actually 3 crores in US, but because of high import duty that is there in India which is upto 100% has made the cost go  upto 6 crores, if something is done regarding this import duty fees then it will be much more affordable to rich people of India. But with current infrastructure of roads it is difficult to see any takers for these kind of cars in India..
