In my opinion Mr.Obama has cuts funding to the one agency that has had so many of its discoveries used to better so many lives. Exploration is a vital part of mankind's future. The space program was one of America's best investments. The very computer we are using to post our comments was dervied from the Apollo Program's lunar lander. They needed really small computers and so they had to develop them. Commercialised solar panels, cordless phones, computer networks, all based on Project Apollo technology, as is almost every single last piece of modern technology we take for granted. NASA gave the technology away for almost free, instead of licensing it. They could have made a fortune just from the licensing fees. It is known that about $7 came back to the US economy for every $1 they spent on space technology. Imagine if NASA had been able to collect on some of those. Lets hope that NASA will re-start the moon mission very soon.
